Ebonysnarls ears laid even flatter as he landed back down on the ground and crouched , eyes narrowed and pupils so dilated it was hard to see them. Lava boiled under his skin as he faced Skye. Now, he did want to attack her. How dare she almost blow his cover, or maybe his cover had been blown! Idiot she-cat! The point of still being in his clan was so he could help the Coterie from the inside. He roared at her, a throaty snarling sound of pure fury and went to leapt forward, muscles showing and bunching through his thick coat but then, sinews locked and snapped as he skidded to a halt and changed direction like a snake. With Sweetmeldoy on the gorund, the attack wasn't what Ebonysnarl thought Skye was going to do, which allowed him to change direction and attack her directly. Snaping like a demented aligator, the large tom shot towards syke and went for her neck. If the attack hit, he would have torn out some of the fur around her throat.
He threw himself around her, so he was now at her hind. A low growl reverbarated around his throat and trickled through his teeth, muscles showing through his thick pelt. He won dered why Sweetmelody wasn't fighting back, using her hind paws and raking at the other cats' belly. He put one paw forwards and stalking a little towards her. Shut your mouth, skye! he thought to himself venomously. What would a vermin ridden Rogue like yourself know about loyalty! he spat back. His vouice low and dangerous. Don't talk fox-dung!
Another blur of blackshot across them, attacking from the side. Smallclaw. So someone else wanted a peice of this fight. Good. The more the merrier. Ebonysnarl attacked from the back, claws outstretched aiming for her rump and teeth angled for her spinal cord. He launched himself like a bullet from a gun.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=6B6B6B]skye. The she-cat snarled in response to his question. or perhaps you know me better as skylight. after all, i was your clanmate once upon a time pretty-face. Blackface's shoulders rippled as his muscles tensed and a low growl began to show itself, rumbling from his chest. He saw Sweetmelody struggle under the rogue but Skye hissed at her to be still and Blackface's eyes narrowed. Rogues don't order ShadowClan cats around. Then the reminder his him like a bullet - Icestar was killed by rogues. His hatred for this she-cat grew in a fury as his heartbeat rose to an almost dangerous rate.
then get off of me. Sweetmelody protested. When the rogue answered, her tone sounded somewhat amused, almost teasing. Like a child. no, no, no. didn't your mother ever teach you something called manners? oh, and ebonysnarl, nice to see you again. Blackface's growl became noticeably louder at that. what? surprised we know each other? no, no, he's not as loyal as you think His growl grew louder even. He may have had doubts about Ebonysnarl's loyalty from the start, but those doubts had been dulled by a longslide. he's a loyal warrior, and we all know it. stop trying to talk your way out. you're outnumbered, face the truth. you're just scared. Blackface nodded a smirk appearing now on his lips. me? scared? softie, don't put words in my mouth. i can take on all three of you, and you all know it. but, honestly, which shadowclan warrior's gonna come to your rescue?
I will. The massive tomcat snarled furiously in his head. He crouched lower to the ground, about to pounce. Skye then turned to him and Ebonysnarl, a devilish grin upon her face and when she spoke, she used that same amused tone of voice. so come on. come closer. if you wanna see your precious sweetmelody dead. Blackface's lips curled back into a ferocious snarl. You're dead, rogue! He thought. If he pounced now, the she-cat wouldn't have time to do anything to Sweetmelody. Crouching lower, Blackface got ready to pounce and...
I'll gut you like a fish! A furious yowl echoed through the air as a black flash darted past Blackface and onto the rogue before anyone could react. Smallclaw! For once, Blackface was happy the see the black warrior. He barrelled into Skye at full speed, knocking her off of Sweetmelody before Ebonysnarl joined in the fun, attacking Skye's flank. As the others seemed to have the rogue under control, Blackface tried to nuzzle Sweetmelody to her feet. "Up on your feet." He murmured quietly, he muscles still tensed in case he was needed over with the rogue. | |

"i'll gut you like a fish!" smallclaw let out a battle cry and aimed a blow with his weight. she let it strike, taking her down. before she did, however, her claws dug into the she-cat warrior's throat. the blood rushing out now. it was severe; severe enough to die. skye smirked, her back burning where it hit the ground. he lifted his paw, to give her a clear uppercut. she laughed, her voice shrill and unforgiving as the claw raked her ear. the ear didn't sting, for she was too full of fury to feel anything. "hello black warrior. you don't know how to gut fish, you're not riverclan. you should probably save your friend before it's too late," she purred, her ice-blue eyes twinking with satisifaction. she gave a blow to the black tom's face, her claws already red with blood. if it hit, she didn't aim to kill, just to cause enough pain. she weaved around him, giving him a tiny bit in the shoulder- enough to draw blood before moving on to the next contestant.
ebonysnarl's ears laid flat. he lept forward and attacked her neck. she let the blow come, her neck fur getting ripped out. it wasn't anything, no harm done; except losing her fur. he was at her hind now, his claws outstretched- aiming for her rump and his teeth angled for her spine. "what would a vermin ridden rogue like yourself know about loyalty!? don't talk fox dung!" she smirked, dodging his blow, instead lifting a paw and crashing it down on the warrior. if it hit, the warrior would go down into the earth, and ruin his black pelt- making it muddy. "i'm talking fox dung?" she asked sweetly, "i think you should know what fox dung is before using it in your sentences. don't try to use it to sound impressive, `cause you don't."
she licked her fur, washing the blood off. in the midst of battle, she gave a small look at sweetmelody. "what are you doing? not even defending yourself? do the other warriors have to do it all for you? i didn't even give you that many wounds, and they're not deep." she snarled, more angry at the fact that she wasn't doing anything and just watching everyone get hurt. "what kind of shadowclanner are you? does hawkstar know that you're this reluctant? the warrior code tells you to defend your territory; and you aren't just gonna get away by batting your eyelashes and asking nicely. what happens if the three fearless black warriors don't come to your rescue next time?" she snapped, flicking her tail at the others. "great starclan, don't be such a wimp and do something useful next time. stop being as soft as a kittypet. you know, i'm done here." she lashed her tail. her eyes burning with irritation. "you obviously need to take care of sweetmelody. i have no quarrel with any of you, black warriors. this is between her and me. and this is clearly not a fair fight. heal her, train her up, teach her how to fight. i'll be watching. and i'm coming back." she stalked off towards the thunderpelt.
blackface also barrelled into skye at full speed. before she could do something to him, he walked over to the tabby and nuzzled her onto her feet. "up on your feet," he said quietly. sweetmelody tried speaking, but the blood stopped her from saying anything. she spit out the blood, her wounds were almost done gushing with blood. she saw skye walk away, after snapping at her in irritation. the rogue was right, she wasn't the type to fight.
she gave a small step, but came crashing down to the earth. her eyes watered, not with pain but with disappointment, as she licked her chest in a rhythmic strokes to stop her bleeding. skye was right. what kind of warrior was she? she was as soft as a kittypet.

Rogue's weren't as hard to kill as they thought they were. Always believing they were immortal, they needed a fresh dose of veracity to override their idealism. If a cat’s head was severed, all of the blood they were comprised of leaking out through the cracks, was it not romanticism or actuality that they probably were going to die? The black warrior wasn’t dim-witted, nor was he dawdling. If a blow was given, there would be results (by some means) – and there would be time to study future counters.
Smallclaw was not intimidated by Skye. She did not strike fear in his heart. If the other Warriors could tend to Sweetmelody quick enough, then he could continue flaying the stupid kit. He was disappointed that his uppercut had only caught her ear, but he promised himself he'd get her better next time. His emerald moonstones were blazing with the light of battle; a smoldering ember in their depths, he was prepared for anything. Like at the border fight, against anyone who threatened Ravenpelts life, he would have died a happy man - they would all go with him. He ignored everything else around him except for Skye; this was their dance: to the death, she and him. (He didn't miss Blackface take Sweetmelody, however; it was a small, heartbeat glance)
Hello black warrior. You don't know how to gut fish, you're not RiverClan. You should probably save your friend before it's too late. Oh? Are you worried? He thought, a growl rising from his throat. She threw blood stained claws for his face, but she had no idea that his specialty was a good fight... that was what he did best. He ducked effortlessly, and smooth enough to have only received a shallow cut through his cheek. A laugh broke past his maw in turn, mixing with her shrill squeal (one of delight), as she leaned in to take a bite out of his shoulder. He pushed it towards her visage violently, hoping to drive her back while she attempted to do so. The perfect intonation was ringing from his enchanted intellect, and it was brilliant. This she-cat would regret everything. Even if he had to smash her cranium to get it through her skull that he was not afraid to kill her.
He never thought of himself as a murderer, because he was taking her life for the better. To fight a cause.
She would lose her life here if she didn't retreat. Even then, her chances of survival were slim; he did not break his promises. "Gutting fish is easy," he cackled darkly, tearing her from Ebonysnarl, he was primed to seize both of her shoulders in turn, "Trust me." Blood trickled down the side of his head, slight droplets catching on his lips. All the while, his claws were unsheathed and gripping dangerously.
Wherever she thought she was going, she would not get away. He would go into enemy Clan territory to fight her if he had to.
He feared no one. With a thrust, he hard-pressed Skye, sending her inches away from him. "You can run, but you'll never hide from me." His words were uttered in a dark hiss, amusement sodden in his voice; an evil glimmer went off in his gems like a beacon. Regardless if she could hear him or not, the terms had been spoken; he would not let himself down. The enemy disappeared into the undergrowth, and, darker than the shadows, Smallclaw slithered after.
The Coterie will pay.
To: wherever you want to settle this.

With a flash, he attacked, he feinted and he diged, so now, he was in front of the fallen Sweetmelody. His face was grim, with thoughts of what Skye had just said. How dare she almost blow his cover. That could have but the whole Coterie at risk! Stupid little fleabrained witch. He yowled angril and was about to vent his fustrations on the she-cat but she vanished...and so did Smallcalw. He would vent his anger on her when the time came. And boy, would she squeal for him.
He hadn't listened the the exchangebetween the cats after he had leapt at Skye. He hadn't been bothered by it. He let Smallcalw go after Skye and turned around to look at Sweetmeldoy and her wounds. He nudged her with his nose but said nothing and then sat down, looking at her with emotionless eyes once more. He didn't know what to think about her now. She could have fought back, should have. As soon as you're hit, lash out. Don't wait to see what's got you. Go mad, have a party. That was how a ShadowClan warrior should fight. But she didn't. He got up again and shook the dirt from him and walked away slowly.
Blackface, please stay with her. I'll get a medicine cat or someone. he said in a low voice and his dissapeared through the bushes with as much urgency as a snail.

hello black warrior. you don't know how to gut fish, you're not riverclan. you should probably save your friend before it's too late, Blackface's muscles flexed as he pressed his lean white shoulder against Sweetmelody's to keep her balanced. i'm talking fox dung? i think you should know what fox dung is before using it in your sentences. don't try to use it to sound impressive, `cause you don't. The massive tomcat unsheathed his claws again, his amber eyes now narrowed. This rogue was on a very very thin line. She was just about to cross it too. Rogues killed Icestar, Blackface already had an aggressive disposition to them, but Skye's attitude helped none. Not that he thought she cared. She probably cared just as little about what he thought of her than she did Sweetmelody's.
Suddenly, Skye glanced over at the two cats and Blackface crouched, ready to defend the she-cat. what are you doing? not even defending yourself? do the other warriors have to do it all for you? i didn't even give you that many wounds, and they're not deep. what kind of shadowclanner are you? does hawkstar know that you're this reluctant? the warrior code tells you to defend your territory; and you aren't just gonna get away by batting your eyelashes and asking nicely. what happens if the three fearless black warriors don't come to your rescue next time? great starclan, don't be such a wimp and do something useful next time. stop being as soft as a kittypet. you know, i'm done here. you obviously need to take care of sweetmelody. i have no quarrel with any of you, black warriors. this is between her and me. and this is clearly not a fair fight. heal her, train her up, teach her how to fight. i'll be watching. and i'm coming back. With that, the she-cat stalked off, with Smallclaw right at her heels. Blackface's tail lashed dangerously. "Don't talk to her like that!" He yowled furiously after her. "What does a rogue like you know about the warrior code? You obviously thought nothing of it if you left your clan." He spat.
Blackface's heart sank as Sweetmelody dropped to the ground. He crouched again and tried to nuzzle her back on her feet. "You need to get up." He growled, cutting his eyes as Ebonysnarl as the large black warrior spoke. Blackface, please stay with her. I'll get a medicine cat or someone. With that, he stalked slowly into the bushes. The black and white warrior kneaded the ground, thinking about what the rogue had said. That Ebonysnarl wasn't loyal. No, the tomcat had fought in defense of a clanmate, of course he was loyal. He just wasn't as likable as some. Blackface wrapped his tail around Sweetmelody's shoulder, making a mental note to talk to Ebonysnarl about it later.
But now... now he had other business to attend to. Another smell had entered his nose. He touched his nose to Sweetmelody's shoulder. "I'll be back." He muttered, turning and charging off into the bushes.
to; wherever sparrowflight is.

"no. don't leave me," she meowed, conscious that they were going to go get help. after she said that, sweetmelody didn't listen to the exchange in between the other cats. the only thing she realized was that she was alone. alone and sacred. but there was nothing to be sacred of, she was in her territory. her clan territory. there was nothing that could harm her here. she became self-conscious of her self, licking down to lick her wounds in a slow, rhythmic pattern. none of it hurt, it was just that the blood kept rushing out.
the tabby looked at the sky with her big green eyes, she heaved herself up on her four paws and stepped back into camp, sinking back into the shadows. it was deja vu all over again. she was alone. and in the shadows.
she felt small and vulnerable compared to the other warriors. she was independent, she didn't need help. she could manage perfectly fine, thank you very much. sweetmelody gave a small growl of sastifaction. yes, when the time came- she'd show who was boss.
but that time better be far off. she wasn't ready yet. no. of course she wasn't. she needed to heal and work on strengthening herself. she wasn't going to be weak and helpless anymore. no, her scars will be gone by the next... six moons?
sweetmelody sighed. the way she was trying to put confidence into herself wasn't working. no, nothing worked with her. she just ruined things. she was a disaster.
//bleh. it's horrible. sorry[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ebonysnarl stopped in his tracks before he spun round and headed back to the fallen Sweetmeldoy. He had heard her call not to leave her but that wasn't why he was returning. He was returning so that he could take her to the medicine cat. She wasn't bleeding too badly the last time he had seen her. His face was impassive. She had annoyed him. Not fighting back, even at the risk of your own life? Inside, the black warrior curled his lip at her. He may not be loyal but he wasn't stupid. He would have fought back. But then again, he was unique. He pounced back into the clearing, his large form blocking out light at random intervals as he walked towards the fallen she-cat. Yes, the fallen, still fallen damn she-cat. He wanted to end her himself. It would be easier. She had no back-bone.
Get up. he growled. Nosing at her back. His deep voice laced with some unknown emotion. It was held back contempt for her weakness. Her nosed her again. Before stepping back. He stood for a moment and then leapt over her and went to the front of her. He looked at the wound. Certainly she would bleed to death if she didn't move now. It was only a short walk to the Medics den, so why couldn't she make it. He knew kits with more fighting spirit than her. He nosed her chest, mindless of the blood. I said: get up. he growled again.
He noticed that Blackface had left and snorted to himself before stepping back again and looking at her. He wanted to lecture her, even beat her for her weakness but he knew that wouldn't get them anywhere, but at least she would probably make it easier for the Coterie to take down ShadowClan. One weak warrior was nothing to them. He growled. On that note, he would report this to Midnight. She would be intrested to know that one of the Clan members was injured. He paced for a while, looking down at her. Did she want to die?

his face was impassive. she knew she annoyed him, he curled his lip at her and nosed her back. "get up." he growled, his voice emotional- but what filled with what emotion? "i said: get up." he growled, and shorted before stepping back and looking at her. she gave a sweet smile at him, her eyes glinting.
"get up? why? don't you wanna see such a weak, useless warrior like me bleed to death? come on, i'm better off in starclan." she gave a small, bitter laugh, and her green eyes hardened. she looked at the wound, it was still bleeding.
"come on, ebonysnarl. i heard everything skye said; your loyalties lie elsewhere. if i know one thing, it's that she doesn't lie," her gaze was cold as she looked at him. starting out as an unforgiving gaze, it softened- like ice melting in the sun.
she whispered in a small voice, just loud enough so that he could hear her. "but i won't tell anyone. it doesn't matter to me." she could've just said that to make him feel better, it could've been just another lie. but it wasn't. it was the truth. her green eyes were unflinching as she stared into the red orbs.
she was the first to look away. and looked back at the pile of fresh-kill. she heaved herself up and said in a confident tone. "i don't need brittlebreeze. this'll heal by itself with a little time. i'm starving. do you want anything to eat?" she started walking towards the pile, and looked back at him. waiting for his reply.

Don't try and act all hard-mouthed now, Sweetmelody. spat the black tom. His eyes blazing with fury. How dare she?1 How bloody dare she. He should end her life right here, right now. He went to rear up but backstepped instead and glared down at the pitiful scrap that was the she-cat. He would give everything to see a weak useless warrior like her bleed to death. He didn't know why he had tried to be nice in the first place. He looked around, as if he were bored and then back to Sweetmelody, a sneer worthy of the Joker on his features, twisting them into a hideous mask of contempt and arrogance. He barked a laugh at her and reared up again before coming back down with a crash.
Say whatever you like, she-cat. No-one will care. You have no proof and no one is going to challenge me in a fight. he smirked to her. Sitting down and now he was bored. dark plet slithered over tuagh muscle as he stood back up again, no effort required on his part. There rarely was these days. Nothinig to test the toms' power or intelligence. With a thought he winced to himself, what would Midnight say? No matter, he could excuse himself from her. It was deathclaw he was worried about, that tom would rather shred a cat than look at them. His gaze switched back to Sweetmelody. Oh? She could stand? Huzzah!
His face was that of darkness. A coming darkness, brooding and heavy. His tone was like lighting, bright, fast, deadly as can be as he joined her side and looked stright ahead, the scent of blood arousing him, just a little. He must be a twisted bloodthristy bastard for these effects to take place. His smirked. Sure whatever.
