A lithe figure made it way down to the river front, her nose the the ground. The she-cat was searching for herbs to take back to camp. Sageroots, Borage leaves, Burdock roots.. she kept runnign through her list to make she she didn't forget. Soon, she caught scent of the sageroots, and headed for them. Closer and clsoer to the river she got, until finally, the roots came in sight. One herb down, two to go, she thought as she leaned down to gather the sageroots. Soon enough, her paws where muddied up from the nearby river. Well, this isn't attractive. Rising to her paws, the bornw tabby made her way to the waters edge, and dipped her paws in. After they were clean, she glanced around her. The sun was shining down one her fur, making the white spots glow. Turning her attention back to the water, she watched as the sun danced on top of the water.I'm here, might as well hunt. Rasiing her paw above the water, she made sure to keep her shadow from reflecting. A fish swarm by lazily. Stormpelt's paw flew to the water, quick as lightning. The fish sailed out of the water, and landed on the ground close by. Running over, Stormpelt bit into it. It's flavors flooded her senses, but she set it down, knowing it needed to go back to camp.

It was a warm day, the sun shone down hotly. A young orange tom padded through the woods, his long haired pelt making sweat beads form everywhere. The signs of new leaf were poking up everywhere in the forms of herbs, grass and new saplings. The creatures of the forest where alive, singing loudly into the forest. Nice day for a swim, Furzeheart though to himself, picking up the pace, headed for the river bank. When Furzeheart got to his normal spot, he found it was taken. A slender she-cat was poised over the river, fishing. With the delicate flick of her paw, she pulled out a fish. Furzeheart smiled. It was the medicine cat, Stormpelt.
Furzeheart padded out of the bushes onto the bank. He noticed roots next to the she-cat as she crouched to eat her kill. Hello there, sweetheart, he mewed padding beside the she-cat and smiling sweetly. How's the herb collecting going? Could I help your beautiful self in any way, shape or form? he meowed. The handsome tom smiled charmingly waiting for the she-cat to respond.

Stormpelt turned her gaze toward the sound of paw-steps. A young orange tom stepped out from the bushes. It was Furzeheart. Hello there, sweetheart,How's the herb collecting going? Could I help your beautiful self in any way, shape or form? she heard his ask. Rolling her eyes, she turned back to the water. I could use your help, but do not call me sweetheart again if you know whats good for you. Stormpelt replied with a sarcastic tone. This tom was just a flirt, but she could use all the help she could get. I'm still looking for Burdock roots, and Borage leaves. she told Furzeheart.

Furzeherart's ears flicked in her direction, his eyes glittering with mischief. Stormpelt stood stiffly for a moment, rolling her eyes and turning back to peer into the water. Whoops, maybe I got on her nerves, Furzeheart thought twitching his tail in concern. I could use your help, she muttered, pausing thoughtfully. But do not call me sweetheart again if you know whats good for you, she finished sarcastically. Furzeheart smiled innocently, his eyes twinkling. She must know my game far too well, he thought. Furzeheart chuckled. Sure thing sweet-, Stormpelt, he smiled. Sorry, slip of the tongue, he chuckled. I'm still looking for Burdock roots, and Borage leaves. |
Fuurzeheart raised his eyebrows. He hadn't specifically been interested in actually helping her, but, he had offered. So he really had no choice. eh? he murrmured not quite understanding medicine cat lingo. Stormpelt glanced at the orange warrior. Of all warriors to find me, it had to be him? she thought with a sigh. But now that he was here, he might as well help. "Burdockroots are long, and brown. Your going to have to dig to get to them though. They'll be along thee shore." Stormpelt told him. Walking a few steps away, she began scenting the air for Borage leaves. I hope theres still some out. she thought with a frown. Stormpelt looked over her shoulder at Furzeheart, to see if he was working yet. But she had walked just out of range to see him.
Looking to the sky, she began to wonder if she could continue to do this alone. Maybe its time to take on an apprentice. she thought. But she was questioning herself. I don't know if I can do it. What if I don't teach him/her right? What if I'm such a horrible mentor no apprentice wants me to mentor them? Stormpelt continued with questions reeling in her head, when she was supposed to be herb hunting.

stormpelt looked in his direction. it wasnt merely a look it was more of a go away type thing. furzeheart just smiled charmingly. she sighed before speaking. Burdockroots are long, and brown. Your going to have to dig to get to them though. They'll be along thee shore.

she said matter-o-factly. furzeheart stared at her a moment, furrowing his brow. the medicine cat looked at him once more, before scenting the air in search of a different herb. i dont know how she stands it furzeheart thought. sitting in the medicine cat den all day, speninding her day with illnesses and injuries. and she's pretty too. thats to bad, he thought with a grimace. he turned to the shore and began digging through the bed, for roots that, well matched her description. he looked back over at stormpelt, bored all ready. so how's the..uh..medicine cat stuff? he asked his eyes shining. word count :: 158 muse :: im sorry. other :: bleh. i have no muse, but i tried to give you something you could respond to. /: [/blockquote]

Stormpelt's head popped up when she heard Furzehearts voice. so how's the..uh..medicine cat stuff? he asked. Stormpelt thought he sounded unsure. Taking light steps, Stormpelt made her way back toward Furzeheart. When she reached him, she sat down and pulled her tail around her front white paws. The sun still shinned down on the two cats, but it wasn't an unbearably hot day. "Well," she started,it's ok. Its been kind of slow, but that's giving me time to get my stocks up." she finished. Stormpelt didn't add that it got lonely a lot of the time. Or how it sent a stab of pain through her when she saw new kits being born. Sure, she had taken on the duties of a medicine cat long ago, but she never forgot how before she was trained to be a warrior. Word Count-159 Muse- Well, the last post was better.

[bg=01010a][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,true] on light paws, the she-cat made way back to furzeheart. furzeheart watched her with amusement as she sat down and pulled her tail over her paws. she looked sad, for a moment before she began talking. "Well,"

she paused, seeming to be thinking. it's ok. Its been kind of slow, but that's giving me time to get my stocks up." she stopped there but furzeheart could tell that she wanted to say more. he twitched his ear and waited to see if she would say anything else. she didn't. ah, he murmured, moving a few paw steps closer to the river to wash the mud from his paws. you could always take a break every once and a while...you know, go hunt. if you ever need a hunting partner, i'm usually available, he smiled charmingly. don't you have a border patrol soon? a voice inside of the tom mumbled. speaking of warrior duties...i need to be at a patrol soon, so i'll catch you later, okay sweetheart? with that the young tom flicked his tail, smiled, and raced off towards camp. to: where everword count :: v.v muse :: gross. other :: sorry for the wait [/blockquote]
