make sure to read all posts in this thread.
by joining and participating in this forum, you acknowledge that you are here to have fun, recognize that you are free to express your opinions, agree to respect and follow the rules, understand that guidelines and regulations may change, and accept consequences for your actions.
FORUM RULES
→ you must create a separate account for each character you create. this should be self explanatory.
→ you may only create three characters to start. you can buy more characters with the money you earn from RPing. (click here for more information)
→ do not spam! in other-words, do not post anything that makes no sense or is irrelevant to the topic. if you spam, your spam will be deleted without notice.
→ do not double-post. this is usually an accident (Proboards glitch or connection issue), however, if you double post to update an advertisement, it will be deleted. if you bump a thread that has long since died or lost its meaning (also known as necro-bumping), it will be deleted. this is why we archive old and dead threads and disable posting in our archives; to keep people from double posting and necro-bumping. there is no real consequence for this, just use good judgment and common sense. this is only for OOC, as it is also against the rules to roleplay solely alone (with yourself and nobody else) we appreciate your cooperation.
→ don't just participate in OOC threads. you joined to RP, so keep that in mind. the people who do participate in IC as well as OOC do their best to make the roleplaying fun. we don't like people joining just to chat or spam, or cause chaos. just doing that doesn't contribute to the activity at all, either! D| if you find your muse has vanished, a couple museless days do no harm - but don't make a habit of it!
→ be respectful to everyone, no matter what. first codeword: octo. if you have a difference, either work out it peacefully through PM or just drop it. anyone who starts a fight will suffer consequences. WS especially is against fighting. we've had our share of them in the past, and anyone caught instigating, or being rude and disrespectful (these both lead to arguments), will have to be reported to staff authorities and be taken care of. consequences depend on the severity of the argument or attempt. we're rooting for peace here, so let's keep it that way. show staff and members the respect they deserve.
→ mild swearing we used to be strictly censored, but we find that as most of us get older, we can't always resist the urge to say something naughty, for humor or otherwise. our swearing is moderated, but if you find you are offended in any way, feel free to contact myself.
→ do not PM another member asking them to join your forum. that is what the advertisement board is for, and when people are searching for a site, perhaps they'll find yours when they feel like it. this is one thing we've dealt with in the past too. some people are desperate to gather a few members for their site, and we know that people who start websites have hopes for their new community, or habitat, we should say, and want it to grow. but make sure if you advertise, do it where it's supposed to be. we don't want advertising in our inbox's (no offense, but that can be compared to junk mail). anyone caught advertising will be reported to staff authorities.
→ do not take anything that is originally from this site. we respond to stealing very megatively. you will be caught probably, and confronted. if you steal anything from WS, be it skin themes, skin images, direct wording, layout, tables, custom codes, or ideas - anything, you are liable/eligible to be accused of theft, especially if timing seems suspicious. second code word: kitty we don't want to put up a new skin to come find that your new skin two weeks later is almost exactly the same. if we find our images, made solely for members of WS, on your site, we will warn you to remove them. if they are not removed, your site will be reported for violation of Proboards TOS. mercilessly.

ROLEPLAY RULES
→ you must create a biography for your character in the acceptance board before you roleplay. this is probably one of the most obvious rules? you have to first find the codewords to get into the acceptance board. if you're having problems finding the codewords, read the FAQ's.
→ please keep your characters active! don't create more characters than you can handle, and if you become overwhelmed put some up for adoption.
[/i] if nobody adopts your characters, you can kill them off and (depending on if they are a clan cat) become a StarClan character, and be allowed to send dreams to medicine cats or others for prophecy reasons. make sure that even if you have enough prey, if you aren't free enough to handle another character, not to make one. even if it's for some really exciting plot. → liquid time is in effect we have allowed liquid timing for members due to the slack activity of certain members and their characters. you are allowed, at a maximum to be in at most three threads, as long as you know their order, and can keep up with them. just like making characters, don't get into more threads than you can handle. → no powerplaying, godmodding, or chatspeaking. read the very last post of this thread for more information.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

POWER-PLAYING: Injuring a character that is not your own, or make them do something their RPer doesn't mention.
Examples: Good RPing: Fireheart aimed a blow at Blackheart's head, hoping to knock him down.
Bad RPing: Fireheart whacked Blackheart on the head, making him lose his balance and fall down.
When fighting, we always let the opponent decide whether your attack is a successful hit or not.
In the "good" RPing example, Fireheart is giving Blackheart the option of either getting hurt or evading the attack. Blackheart could either respond by saying: "Blackheart was hit hard and landed on his side" or "Fireheart's attack missed him and Blackheart tried to counter the attack."
In the "bad" example, Blackheart has no choice.
GOD-MODDING: Being overly powerful, invincible or supernatural. Rarely or never allowing an enemy to hit you in battle.
In the example above, if Blackheart never allows Fireheart to hit him, Blackheart is god-modding, which is unrealistic and unfair.
CHAT-SPEAKING: Speaking in slang. It is very annoying and bothersome to other members!
Example: Chat-speak: He11o wots up? sum1 tak 2 me!!11! nm i g2g l8tr
Please refrain from doing this, especially when RPing! Watch your spelling and grammar please!
