Eclipsewind is a lean, dark tabby tom. His fur is short and meticulously groomed at all times, giving him a sleek, almost shiny appearance. The pattern of his fur is dark with even darker stripes, all of which run along his spine and create rings on his tail like a raccoon. Like all kits, his ears were rather big and bat-like, swiveling around like two satellites perched atop his head. They eventually thinned out into neat triangles as he matured. Eclipsewind's nose is black, while his whiskers are white as snow, sticking out from his face and twitching while he contemplates which piece of prey to take from the pile at camp. His paws carry him nimbly, even when he was young; and his claws are unusually long and ivory colored, standing out in stark contrast with the color of his paws. His eyes are a striking shade of blue, the only trace of himself that his father, Hawkstar, gave him. His pelt, though tabby, is darker than that of his mother's, Tawnyfur, an anomaly of the strange and often arbitrary nature of genes.
Personality:
Eclipsewind was the oldest of his litter of three, and he acted like it. He was used to being the leader of the group, picking out what kind of mischief would be the best to get into. He also felt obligated to protect his younger siblings, whether it be from the strange looking toad to the menacing rat by the river. Even today he is brave and head strong, unwilling to back down from any kind of challenge. Eclipsewind learned rather quickly, never refraining from spying on a training session or two, or listening in on a conversation. He loved mock fights and pretend hunts, and the occasional story from the elders. Eclipsewind also found the history of the Clans to be endlessly fascinating, and was always asking questions. But Eclipsewind can also be a bit of perfectionist at times, always trying to be the best at everything he does.
History:
Eclipsewind's father is Hawkstar, leader of ShadowClan and Tawnyfur, a blind queen who is also from ShadowClan. He was born soon after a Gathering inside the nursery at camp, with Hawkstorm, the Clan's medicine cat at the time, watching over he and his siblings with a trained eye. Like all young cats, Eclipsewind became an apprentice to Ghostclaw, who was ShadowClan's deputy. It was during Eclipsewind's warrior ceremony that Ghostclaw decided to retire from his position, devastating the young tom. However, being the determined cat he is, Eclipsewind forced himself to focus on his own future as a warrior in the service of his Clan, and now strives towards being one of the best warriors in the forest.
