these are some basic, down-to-earth cbox instructions and rules. (be sure to have read the forum rules, too!)
since we got the premium cbox, it may prove a bit confusing to those new to it. here's how to use it correctly:
on the bottom right hand corner of the cbox, the 'profile' link is where you click if you haven't already registered a name on our cbox. you should only register once, so once you do, don't change your name.
don't style it up or change it in any way every time you login to the cbox - believe it or not, this is you creating multiple chatbox accounts, which becomes a chore to clean.
both admins and mods of the chatbox can delete posts, and both can ban members on a single click of a button. spammers beware.
1. flooding is a no-no, it means posting 7 or more posts in the cbox, in a row. please don't do that. (most of the time people post smileys, laughing, etc. So we decided 4 was a little strict)
2. swearing is bad for the community, and we have a filter to keep the fingers at bay. if a word or two slips, we won't argue, but don't let it become a habit!
3. no advertising. i think you'd get the idea of what would happen if you were caught advertising in the cbox... xD
we benefit from it - this is what it offers, differing from a regular non-premium cbox:
- you can register for your own, password protected account.
- two words: automatic refreshing!
- sound alert when someone says something.
- obvious staff who moderate the cbox from spammers and violators.
- more characters in your messages.
- it's just a lot more win.
so, all the more reason to enjoy!
