[/blockquote][/blockquote]01. “I can’t find the code words in the rules. Are they even there?”
Yes, they do exist and yes they are in the rules. If you simply read them like we’ve asked you to do, they will appear quite obviously. Just read carefully and devour those beautifully written rules and by the end, you will know the words you’ve been seeking the whole time. I swear on it! And please, don’t skip/skim ahead and CTRL + F for them. It’s unfair to us and our handsomely done rules. All they want is to be read, just grant them that one wish.
02. “How do I use them to enter the acceptance board? I tried EVERYTHING!”
To post in the acceptance board, there are two magical code words in the rules. Just look for them and follow the instructions right in the description of the Acceptance Board. No Spaces and use both of the words. It’s there for a reason. Listen to it.
03. “I don’t know how to make a character! What do I do?”
This is easy. Enter the acceptance board, AFTER finding those magic code words, and read the two sticky topics entitled ‘Biography Form’ and ‘***PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING***’. They are quite nicely written and should guide you along without much of a problem. Just copy and paste the code for the biography into a brand new thread, title it as instructed and have at it. (for more information click here)
04. “My character is so awesome. She is fun and pretty and perfect and awesome. Don’t you agree?”
No. Don’t make Mary Sues and Marty Stews. They are unbelievably dull and no one wants to RP with a charrie they can’t relate to. Give them problems, give them quirks and personalities. Round your charries, shape them. It’s quite fun once you use your imagination, I promise. Plus, you really help to build up your roleplaying skills this way. It’s all around a fantastic idea to make great characters that are unique and interesting. However, don’t make them utter sob stories either. No one wants a whiney, pathetic charrie whose about as developed as a piece of paper. Should you have questions about your character and their personality/history/etc, PM a staff member. They'll be happy to help!
05. “How do I join?”
Go right on up to where it says LOGIN and REGISTER. Click register and follow the simply written instructions our beautiful Proboard Gods have provided us. They shouldn’t leave you feeling anymore confused then you do right now. AND make sure to join with the name of your cat. Don’t don’t don’t don’t DON’T join with something like ‘LyKKee 00Mggezie iiTZZ F1r3HEEarttt!11!’. That. Is. UGLY. And no one really wants to see it. Plus, you'll have to change your name to the title of your cat's either way. There isn't a point.
06. “Hey…where’d Fireheart go?”
Please do not join our wonderful site to just let your account/charrie/bio sit there and rot away. Only join if you have intentions to be as active as possible and keep your characters alive and well. They will miss you greatly if you just up and die, as will those you have RPed/are RPing with. And don’t act like we don’t contact you, because we do. Warriors Saga sends out a lot of emails/mass PMs and we will contact you if you just leave your bio/account/charrie there to rot in a sad purgatory. So please, don’t join unless you plan on sticking around for a while. And, if something does come up, just post in our Introductions/Absences board and the Admins/Mods won’t delete you for inactivity.
Also, on a side note, please don’t live rot. Which is where you make a character and instead of go right on and start roleplaying, you do nothing. This is incredibly awkward for everyone you’ve violated as well as the staff when they have to correct you. So just don’t do it. Play it fair and make a charrie. You will be much happier once you do.
07. “I don’t have any friends on here and I’m shy. What do I do?”
Don’t worry! Everyone’s had a shy moment once in a while. Start roleplaying, it’s the quickest way to make friends. Post in the c-box and talk, interact and have fun with the members of the site. Although we might seem crazy, we’re a fantastic bunch of crazies. And there are always both the General Board and the Fun and Game Board. There you can post OOC and it’s an excellent way to make some friends. Plus, you can always request a mate/adopt a cat and get to know people that way. There are by no means a shortage of people on this site and I’m sure you can find someone to be your bestest pal!
08. “I’ve joined and it’s asking me to activate my account. Why should I and what does it do if I do or if I don’t?”
Activating you account, while it doesn’t affect much when it comes to terms of what you do on our actual site, it does affect whether or not we can contact you. Activating your account proves your email is real and therefore the admins/mods are able to send you important emails and messages that you otherwise wouldn’t receive. So activate it, for everyone’s sake.
9. “What are the updates? Are they even important?”
Sometimes, instead of sending out mass PMs/Emails, the WS (warrior’s saga) staff will post an update alerting the whole site of something important coming up in the future. They are really quite important and its your and your charrie’s best interest if you read them. Plus, lets say an activity check is going on, the update will generally provide you with a link to said activity check and that will alert you as to which characters are safe, and which aren’t.
10. “I suck at RPing. What do I do?”
Keep right on roleplaying. Like I said above, making up unique and well rounded characters is a good way to jump start the old skill as is just roleplaying. The more you practice something, the better you become. Granted our site is intermediate to advanced, but I’m sure you can do it. Its really good practice to push yourself to go above and beyond your comfort zone. You’d be surprised as to what you’ll be able to do.
11. “I’m gonna steal all of these pretty pictures and characters and no one will catch me. Right?”
So totally and completely wrong. Don’t even begin to contemplate possibly stealing something ever from WS. We will eat and destroy you. People have worked so very hard to make our gorgeous graphics and skins and characters and you have no right to take something that is so blatantly not yours. And if you ever come across something that is stolen from WS, report it to an Admin or Mod right away so they can handle it appropriately. Please do not try to handle it on your own.
12. “Ugh Fireheart is SUCH a brat, I can’t believe her. I hate her. Don’t you hate her? If you don’t hate her, I will hate you.”
WHOA. Trash talking and fighting is not allowed OOC on WS. In character is acceptable because your characters are cats and they are fighting to defend their Clans. But do not take anything personally and don’t suddenly start going off on people. Especially in the C-box. Its really awkward and we don’t wanna see it. If you have a problem with someone, don’t talk to them. Easy peesey pumpkin pie. And don’t be rude and make disrespectful and derogatory comments on someone else’s work, whether it is in character or out. Constructive, friendly criticism is allowed, but be polite. Don’t go around being mean for no reason. The admins will finish your little fight quick and easy: You will be banned.
13. “Do you really have over 1,000 members?! How come they aren’t all active?”
Real life. No, but seriously we don't have that many members anymore. They aren't all alive because you have to look at other sites. Are their members all active? No. WS is a long lasting site but we're just that; a site. That and each cat has to have its own account and if each person has an average of 3 cats, that’s a lot of accounts. Another reason might be older members who have earned their place here forever as an important figure, their accounts are usually still around. WS has been up for almost seven years, that's right! So imagine all the people we picked up and who could have left in that time range...
14. “Fireheart hasn’t replied in our thread in like three days. Should I quit?”
Not yet. People DO have lives outside of our magnificent site and sometimes, the real world can be more demanding than WS and they don’t have time to reply right away. Stay patient and wait for them. If they haven’t made any posts in any other areas, especially the absence thread, and it’s been a month or longer, its around the time one could start calling it quits. But until then, exercise patience and don’t go bugging the person if they don’t reply RIGHT away.
15. "What the f@cks your problem?“
WHOA there cowboy. Calm down. There's a time and place for swear words. And yes, they can be used in moderation OOC, but not constantly. We have younger people on here and your vile language may offend them. So just, cool your jets and stay calm.
16. "Why are your characters always posting from the same account?“
Well I'll be darn! It's funny that people think, sometimes, it's okay to use ONE account for everything, all of your characters, ooc and ic posting basically, when you do indeed have the appropriate accounts. You are required to post if you have the ability by your internet connection to do so. Do not ignore this just because you are lazy. You will be warned numerous times, and if you don't listen to staff, you may be punished... D:
