BRIGHTPAW of RIVERCLAN
________________________________________________________________
Name: brightpaw
Age: six moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: riverclan
Rank: apprentice
________________________________________________________________
Reason For Name: whenever she was born her coat was lighter than the rest of her siblings, it was 'brighter,' therefore her mother named her brightkit.
Previous Names: brightkit
________________________________________________________________
One Sentence Description: lean calico and white she-cat with blue eyes
Appearance:
Brightpaw is not a big cat, she is a female after all. Her structure is a mall one, petite and lean. Laced with muscles ready to be worked on in training and her practice fights. She does have a very long tail that is usually held high above her or swishing right above the ground. Along with a long calico tail, Brightpaw has a pair of white whiskers that are a rather normal size, nothing to extraordinary. They are normal sized alike her hears and eyes. Her eyes are a sharp, almost harsh blue. Something that pops out on her white and calico-tabby coat. Her fur is short, so in leaf bare she is going to freeze her tail off, but once green leaf comes around she's allot happier than the longer haired cats. Being apart of Riverclan, may of the cats have gained an oily coat as the generations of cats lived their lives here in the water.

Personality:
ALOOF: Brightpaw likes to give off the impression that she just does not care. She acts as if the world could be blowing up and it wouldn't affect her in the least bit. This is not true of course, but appearances are appearances. Brightpaw does this to seem like a tough little kitty. She pulls it off pretty well too. She brushes things off with a little, 'whatever.' Her fear of betrayal does add to this though. Brightpaw is scared that if she tells anyone her secrets they will tell another. It's just the nature of all, once one has that precious information of another they will be dying to spill it all to the next open ear. So in a way she does not care, because that might require spilling bits of herself to others.
STRONG: This does not mean in the physical sense necessarily. Sure, Brightpaw is not a weak cat by any stretch of the imagination, but what this word is describing is her personality. She does not let little things bug her, or at least she tries not to let them bother her. She knows that having an outer shell as hard as diamonds helps others as much as it helps her. Keeping her cool in pressing situations and such allows others to look to her for support. And even if Brightpaw would never let something like that really phase her on the outside, she takes pride in being looked up too.
SARCASTIC: Kids these days, right? Well it seems that most are a sarcastic bunch, and Brightpaw is no exception. Half of the stuff that pours out of her mouth is sarcasm. She tends to lay it on a little heavy when things get stressful, she is embarrassed, or is hiding something. Not the best liar or spy this one. If you know anything about her then you will know that the moment that sarcasm is the only thing you hear from her, is the moment that you know something is off. And then she might just accidentally crumble. It's the way she works unfortunately. Brightpaw tries hard to keep her self distant from others emotionally, and has her entire life. She does not really notice that she does this but being sarcastic adds to the distance. If nothing she says is serious then nobody knows what she really means.
ADVENTURESOME: Brightpaw wants adventure, and a grand story to go with it. her brain is constantly dreaming up these grand schemes, and thinking of great places to go off and explore. She hears all of the elder's stories and wants to be able to tell stories like that about her own experiences. And to have others talk of her experiences as well. Brightpaw thirsts for that undiscovered little cave, or maybe a trek that will lead her to a place no other cat has gone before! Adventure. The word could simply make her paws twitch to run in the area with the most of it, perhaps dragging along any other cat who was her friend, and wanted to come (or not!)
JUDGMENTAL: This does not mean that if another cat has a reputation stuck to their name Brightpaw is going to keep that reputation stuck there. Actually, Brightpaw will make her own decision on every cat. Some are wrong, others more along the right tracks, but judging by her own personal opinions brightpaw can end up really putting a harsh label on a cat. And aside from being judgmental, her grudges die hard, or not at all. She is a proud little cat with a high opinion of her clan, therefore the traitors that she fears will almost never gain back respect in her eyes. Same goes for other circumstances involving any type of betrayal.
CARING: Surprising right? After that list one would not think that 'caring' would be a quality of such a cat. But it is true; Brightpaw is a cat who cares for others intensely. Brightpaw has a big heart full of love that she likes to pull a big curtain in front of. Like she would let everyone know she would just die if so and so got hurt or this cat ended up leaving. No. She likes to keep those things to herself, because they are like weaknesses. And if someone knows your weaknesses they can hurt you very badly. And since her weak points are others, its of the utmost importance in her eyes to keep that kind of information to herself.
Likes: general: organization, understanding, stability, wit, water voles, sarcasm, groups, hunting, running, and plans
secretly: adventure, making friends, playing in the water, elder's stories, and strangers
Dislikes: general: laziness, disloyalty, rats, blatant arrogance, boring days, brutes, whiners, extreme heat, monsters, and liars
fears: two-legs, traitors, snakes, being lost, and betrayal

History:
KITHOOD: Brightpaw led a rather normal life, nothing horribly exciting or terrible from the moment that she was born her life was numbingly normal. She was born in a litter of three, she was the middle kit with an older and younger brother on either side. The three were born to two loyal and strong Riverclan warriors who had the normal stories that a warrior had. Nothing terribly exciting though. Aside from a few stories here and there. Her brothers were a grey tabby named Greykit, and a white and grey tabby by the name of Fogkit. It was a normal upbringing for her, but she was soon sick of it. By the time she could walk Brightkit tried to wander off out of the nursery into more exciting areas of the world. She learned how painfully boring her life was (even at the age of a kit, which is probably why she was so upset by it) and knew if she could just start making her own way out in the world her life would be much more exciting. She would break the norm of her repetitive life and figure out something else. When she was 5 moons old Brightkit was bouncing about the clan, practicing as if she were a tough, full grown warrior on a piece of prey. An actual warrior had come up and scolded her for playing with her prey, but was proud that she was so excited to start training. Brightkit didn't care about most things like the rules about playing with your food, but quickly she learned respect for the warrior.
APPRENTICESHIP: Brightpaw has just been apprenticed and now she is ready for her life to start. The young she-cat is positive that her skills will be amazing, and that her adventures are all about to start and explode into excitement! We will all have to see how this unfolds for the ambitious young she-cat, considering she could end up in heaps of trouble just planing her little adventures.
IC Example:
The water dripped from the leaves of the foliage surrounding the little white and calico she-cat. Her blue eyes looked about lazily. They looked about from her head rested softly on her petite white paws. The rain had been pouring out of those dark clouds all day. It did not bother the Riverclan cats all that much, but the boring plop, plop, plop of the droplets hitting the dirt/mud had become monotonous and made Brightpaw want to jump into the river just so she wouldn't have to listen to it anymore. "Ugh. I'm a hair from insanity. If this clan was a smidgen more boring then I might just have to go insane just to keep this place lively." Brightpaw said to herself. She was sitting in the entrance of the apprentice's den, her mentor was not up to training in the rain today, no matter how much Brightpaw wanted to get out of the camp and just busy herself with the strong, fluid movements of a warrior's attack.
Just as Brightpaw was thinking of her training a warrior that she knew came barreling into camp. His white fur on end as he looked around in terror. The look was vivid and chilling in his eyes, it scared Brightpaw for a split second before she composed herself and sprinted toward the male warrior. The camp turned their attention to him and his green eyes, their own eyes begging to know what was the matter. Some cats voiced concern but all of it was shushed as brightpaw walked through the group of cats and approached the warrior. He looked down at her, the fear still bright in his eyes, the scent of it strong in every surrounding cat's nose. "What is it, Whiteoak?" Brigtpaw asked, all business. Knowing that she could handle the situation with no problem. The huge white tom looked down at her and took in a breath, he calmed himself as the clan quieted. 'Oh Brightpaw, it' awful! Yewkit has been taken by a group of loners. I tried to get her back but they are already headed out. I came back as quick as I could. What are we going to-' Brightpaw silenced the towering tom with a twitch of her tail and simply walked out of the camp. This was an adventure, this was what she had been waiting for all day. heck, what she had been waiting fro her entire life!
The calico and white apprentice followed the scent of the loners. Three of them by the distinct scents. She found them quickly enough. The sound of Yewkit's helpless muling was an aid in the search for sure. Brightpaw bounded toward the clearing where the three loners stood. One was a skinny orange tom, the one on the left was a skittish looking brown tabby female, while the one in the middle was a burly grey tom. And he was grasping Yewkit by the scruff of fur at her neck. 'Oh lookie here guys, a kitten come to rescue a kitten, how cute.' The skittish female crowed as rain continued to pour and lightning flashed in the sky with a rumble of thunder for effect. Starclan did not like what was going on here for sure. Brightpaw did not laugh or turn away at the insult she simply stood her ground and looked toward the tom with fierce blue eyes, "Let her go, or you will be sorry." She said simply, her tail standing up, the end twitching now and again. Rain was still falling, and Yewkit was mewling enough to break a heart. They all laughed of course, underestimating great Brightpaw's strength and agility. They had her matched in size- but not in speed. And their weaknesses were already mapped out in her head. They were going down.
"Alright, but don't tell me I didn't warn you." Brightpaw said with a gleam in her eye and a smirk on her face. Oh this was going to be fun. Brightpaw darted forward, catching the cats off guard. They backed up a bit, the burly tom jumping to a high place with Yewkit in his jaw. From that point Brightpaw sprung from the muddied ground onto the tiny orange tom's head, smashing it into the compact wet dirt. His ears must have been ringing because he remained a bit dazed as the she-cat tried to sneak up on Brightpaw from behind. She wasn't fooled though. The apprentice rushed out of the way, allowing the female to attack the other tom. Soon the two scattered. To confused to do anything else. The burly grey tom yelled after them dropping Yewkit into the mud. Brightpaw took her chance and darted up the slope he stood on, reaching out and slashing her unfurled claws across his face. Shocked, he backed up. But he couldn't see where he was going with blood dripping into his eyes. He ended up right where Brightpaw had wanted him and she rushed about his legs putting him off balance right before she shoved him into the river.
Yewkit bounced up to Brightpaw in relief purring out thanks and excited comments on the battle. Just then Brightpaw's own mentor came up since a good deal of the clan had been watching. Yewkit's mother rushed in and scooped her up purring praises of her own for Brightpaw. Her mentor bowed his head to the apprentice and murmured in awe, 'I will suggest that you be made a warrior immediatly-because there is nothing else I could possibly teach the Great Brightpaw.' A smile grew from ear to ear on the calico and white she-cat's face. although, at that moment, a huge, wet, cold raindrop smashed against her forehead.
Brightpaw's vivid blue eyes flew open and looked around. The clan was still quiet, it was still raining, and she was still sitting in the apprentice's den. The dream was still fresh in her mind as Brightpaw got up and stretched. She then heard her mentor's voice from across camp. 'Brightpaw! If you are as bored as you said before perhaps you can go fetch new moss for the elder's bedding.' Brightpaw sighed and slumped back into her spot. "Just a second ago you said I was better than you. Why don't we go back to that." Brightpaw muttered as she began looking around the camp again from her poised position in front of the den.
