________________________________________________________________
One Sentence Description: Brown and White she-cat with Green eyes.
Appearance:
Morningpaw has a small bone structure. She has small shoulders and is somewhat scrunched in width but long from nose to tail-tip. Her legs are also long. it makes her a bit taller than she'd like and her paws are a bit large as well, as she is still growing, and she isn't quite used to it yet. Morningpaw trips occasionally because of her changing body, but pretends it doesn't happen to avoid getting made fun of. She has an angular face with sharp features. Her dark rosy nose is framed by long, white whiskers and her mossy Green eyes are thinly lined with black. Her fur is short and mainly Brown. Her muzzle, chest, tummy and paws are all White, slowly fading into a sandy Tan on her legs and whisker area, and finally Brown on her back, face and tail. The only exceptions are her ears and the tip of her tail, which are Black.

Personality:
Because her body is so small, Morningpaw gives off a timid vibe, but that is far from the case. She isn't one to go out of her way to talk to everyone, but she doesn't sit away from others, off by herself, either. She wears her heart on her sleeve; when she's happy, she's talkative and cracks jokes. When she's upset, she's quiet and guarded. Morningpaw is respectful only to those who deserve it. She sees it as something that must be earned. A warrior who treats her as beneath themselves just because she's an apprentice, for example, will never hear the end of it. She's always determined to prove herself to anyone who thinks they are better than her. Morningpaw tries not to think of her clan as the better of all clans, but she does have an immense sense of pride being a Shadowclan apprentice. As she is still young, she doesn't really fully understand the warrior code but she doesn't question it, merely tries to understand. Morningpaw is very curious and will not stop asking questions until she understands fully.

History:
"I think I'll name her...Morningkit."
The sun had just risen, and through the brambles of the Shadowclan nursery a small ray of sunshine lit up the den before travelling up toward Brackenfur, the queen who had just had her first kit. 'Would you like to name the kit?' The medicine cat asked. Before she could answer, however, she would give birth to two more kits. After she was done she was exhausted, but as the light landed on her firstborn kit, her brown and white fur had such a lovely glow. Once Morningkit was namde she passed out and slept, promising to name the other two when she awoke. Had her mate Blackfoot been alive, he could have named the other two. Alas, he was killed a moon before their birth. Such was the way of the warrior, a proud Shadowclan warrior who died protecting his family from stray rogues. The other two were named shortly after Brackenfur came to; Thistlekit and Ashkit.
As the first born, Morningkit immediately fell into the role of the 'boss lady' once they were able to move around. She wasn't bossy and snappy, she just took the lead a lot; giving ideas on what to play, suggesting they sneak out once or twice. There was one occasion that almost cost them their apprenticeship. Morningkit watched the dawn patrol leave and woke her sister and brother up, suggesting they sneak out while they could. Thistlekit agreed, but Ashkit wasn't so sure. He had a bad feeling about it, but Morningkit wasn't listening. She had already made up a game for the day's activities. Of course, as they were still kits they had a very small idea about scents belonging to which clan and as they played around, they ended up in Windclan territory. They eventually got lost on this new territory and mewled until someone found them. Luckily for them it was a Shadowclan warrior who heard them, as they had wandered back closer to their home.
When they were brought back to camp, the leader was stern about what they had done. 'Do you understand the severity of what went on today?' Morningkit nodded, as did her siblings. 'You know, kits who misbehave like that don't deserve to become apprentices. Maybe we should hold you back until you prove yourselves.' Morningkit was horrified. She had just singlehandedly destroyed her sister and brother's dreams. "No! It was my fault, all of it. I forced them to come out with me, and I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. Don't punish them, punish me." This seemed fair, and so Morningkit watched her siblings as they became Ashpaw and Thistlepaw, while she sat in the nursery with her mother. 'It was a nice thing for you to do, Morningkit. Every good leader does what is best for her clan, instead of what is best for themselves. You'll become an apprentice soon enough.' her mother promised. She was right; after a moon of working her tail off to behave, Morningkit was finally promoted to Morningpaw. She was finally on the way to becoming a warrior.
IC Example:
The sun was rising over the marsh, and Morningpaw was excited to get out and hunt. She woke up early as she usually did; sleep was nice, but it only took away from the time that could be used hunting or training. Part of her wanted to let her mentor rest. She was an apprentice, now, and she still had to ask to go out, so she really didn't have another option. Repeating her kit fiasco wasn't going to happen. As the small she-cat stretched, her white claws unsheathed, digging into the soft earth that she associated with her home. A loud yawn escaped from her muzzle and Morningpaw shook it off as she slunk over to the Warrior den. One warrior slipped out as she peeked in. "Oh, have you seen-" she was cut off as the tom shook his head. 'No, your mentor went out patrolling already. Said you had a hard day yesterday, didn't want to wake you.' As the warrior padded away, Morningpaw shrugged. There was always her mother. "Brackenfur? Are you awake?" she called, nudging the dappled she-cat. If she wasn't awake before, she certainly was now. 'Erm...what is it, Morningpaw?' she mumbled, turning over. "It's just...I really wanted to hunt this morning, but my mentor left without me...do you think you could take me out hunting really quick?" Brackenfur sat up, giving her ruffled chest a quick lick before yawning. 'My dear, you're lucky I was planning to hunt this morning. Let's go.'
Excitement lit up the apprentice's mossy eyes as she leaped after her mother. Brackenfur was not only her mom, but a respected warrior and an excellent hunter. 'Alright, Morningpaw. Let's see if you really take after me,' she jested as they reached their destination. 'Show me what your mentor has been teaching you.' It took the apprentice a moment to focus, but soon she honed in on her surroundings. Her eyes were closed as she listened for a moment, and as she heard rustling her eyes opened. They scanned the marsh closely. A small ribbit was heard and Morningpaw crouched down in the tall grass as she waited for the frog to hop closer. It sat still for quite some time, and Morningpaw was not the most patient apprentice around. When she couldn't wait anymore she pounced at the frog, missing it by a hair. "Fox dung!" she spat as it hopped out of sight. Brackenfur smiled at her before going into predator mode, where she ran and pounced onto the frog with little effort. 'It's okay. You've only been out once or twice. No one expected you to get it right away. That wasn' t bad. If it makes you feel better, it took me three moons before I got to be any good. I was catching scraps for a while.' Morningpaw's eyes widened. "You? But, but you're so good at it!" Brackenfur merely chuckled. 'It takes practice. Now, come on. Cheer up; try again.'
Morningpaw nodded as she crouched down. Her mother was right; she couldn't cry over one failed attempt. More determined than ever, she listened for more prey. The ribbit was softer than the last one, but it was unmistakable. Though her patience was low Morningpaw forced herself to sit perfectly still until the frog came within pouncing distance. Come on, you can do this, she told herself, and as the frog hopped closer a streak of brown and white flashed in front of Brackenfur. Morningpaw had lunged herself at the frog, claws unsheathed, and caught the frog by a leg. "Aha! Gotcha!" she exclaimed before killing the frog. Brackenfur purred, nodding in approval. 'See, I knew you'd get it. You're a very determined apprentice.' Morningpaw's chest swelled with approval. Now, if only her mentor had witnessed that!
