The tiny cola flurries had melted away for the most part. You could tell new-leaf was coming. The lack of snow left the forest fairly barren and desolate. Perfect for the brown tabby's coat. There was a chill to the air, but it did not bother her. Her long thick coat kept her warm in leaf-bare. The cat padded out towards the twoleg place. A place that her mentor had told her not to go. Why though? What could be so terrible about the twolegs? She'd heard about the kittypets and how fat and well fed they were. Well ThunderClan was low on food, so why not ask the kittypets? Lynxpaw reasoned.
Lynxpaw was rather large compared to the other apprentices of her clan. In her few moons of training with Emberflare she had built up a lot of muscle under her beautiful coat. Lynxpaw's stub of a tail set her apart from most cats. But she had adapted to her "deformity" and learned how to hunt and fight without a tail. Lynxpaw was curious as she neared the twoleg place. She could feel the excitement building up inside of her. She knew she wasn't supposed to be out without Emberflare but her clan needed food and she was gonna go get some. Surely that would be worth it. They probably wouldn't even e mad when she brought home 3 or 4 chickadees. Her mouth began to water at the thought of those heavenly little birds.
Big monsters came into view painted yellow and a weird shade of blue. ynxpaw slunk away into the bush her golden eyes wide, her pawsteps more cautious. There were brown trees surrounding the monsters, keeping them from the forest. However, they were very short trees. It was a miracle that the monsters stayed inside. Lynxpaw thanked StarClan silently. She stayed in the tree line surveying the little trees looking for plump fat kittypets to ask for food.

[SHE'S RIPPING WINGS OFF OF BUTTERFLIES]
Lefty had wandered away from swampy area to see other places meet new cats. She found herself in a place where tall hairless creatures wandered and walked on two legs. She watched them walk to and fro and get into these large colourful things as she sat on a fence post. Lefty really wasn’t afraid of them, but intrigued by it. They we like the Clan cats she had grown to hate. Those large colourful monsters did what those hairless beings wanted them too. It made her sick. Her blue eyes scanned the area for cats, any kind of cat. They locked on a single cat, a female… pretty spotty fur. Not much older than she was, she seemed to be looking for something. Looks like I have found something to do.
Lefty hopped of the fence post and strolled over to the young she-cat. “Hello.” The blue-eyed she-cat said, her head was tilted to the side and her eyes were narrowed. Left sniffed the air. ThunderClan. Disgusting. She sat down a few feet away from the other she-cat. Her tail lashed from side to side as her head tilted from one side to the other. “Is there a problem?”

It was all so new and unfamiliar. The scents mixed together making it hard to focus on one thing in particular. There was a sweet warm aroma that made Lynxpaw's mouth water. Then the breeze shifted and brought a disgusting smell, it was harsh and burnt her nostrils. The she-cats tufted ears pricked at the loud noise coming from behind the little trees. She felt the hair raise on her back. It was a loud roar, then a weird grumbling noise. Lynxpaw backed away into the forest, maybe his wasn't such a good idea...
"Hello" hissed an unfamiliar voice. Lynxpaw turned around quickly to face the blue eyes of a she-cat. Lynxpaw to in a deep breathe, the cat didn't smell like any of the Clan cats. She must be a kittypet thought Lynxpaw excitedly. Lynxpaw looked over the cats coat, she wasn't fat like the elder's insisted. Rather thin to be honest. Lynxpaw was excited to meet a new cat. Someone who didn't have to deal with Clan life. All the fighting and loyalties and border patrol. It got so redundant. “Is there a problem?” asked the cat, her tone less than friendly. Maybe she was just scared. " Hello" mewed Lynxpaw happily. "There's no problem here, I'm looking for kittypets, are you a kittypet? What's it like? Do the twolegs feed you well?" she had so many questions to ask. She was so curious about life outside ThunderClan borders. What was it like to be raised without having the Warrior Code shoved down your throat every five seconds.Lynxpaw waited eagerly for the she-cat's reply, her little stub wagging back and forth with excitement.

[SHE'S RIPPING WINGS OFF OF BUTTERFLIES]
Lefty was overwhelmed by this cat. She stank and was talkative, the worst combination. As Lefty listened to the Clan cat ramble about ‘kittypets’ and ‘two-legs’ her tail lashed the ground faster and she began to sheathe and unsheathe her claws. “No I am not a ‘kittypet’, whatever that is. No I am not fed by anyone else other than myself. I hunt as you hunt for your Clan. So no the two-legs, whatever they are, do not feed me well.” Why would a clan cat want to know about being a ‘kittypet’? Unless she wants to be one… She smiled at the thought, teeth showing.
She was trying to scare the living day lights out of the she-cat. Although given the mood of the she-cat that wouldn’t happen. Way to upbeat and cheery for my liking. What is with Clan cat’s and talking to me… first that ShadowClan cat and now this. Ugg, I wish they would all die… leave this place and die. She thought her tail lashing the ground even more while she scraped the ground with her claws. “Why are you even here? Shouldn’t you be in your forest, hunting for your clan?” Lefty asked looking at the ground.

LYnxpaw couldn't help but grin at the she-cat. She was just so excited to meet a new face. She sat down on the ground watching the cat curiously, she seemed a bit, oh what was the word... tense? Yeah, that was it. Lynxpaw was rather big for her age, with a muscular body from her training. Her long furred cat made her look sluggish, but that wasn't true and her paws were quiet large. Her mentor told her she would be a very big cat when she was finally full grown. “No I am not a ‘kittypet’, whatever that is. No I am not fed by anyone else other than myself. I hunt as you hunt for your Clan. So no the two-legs, whatever they are, do not feed me well.” mewed the she-cat sourly. How odd, thought Lynxpaw. "A kittypet lives with the twolegs, and is very fat with food. Although you aren't at all. So does that make you a loner?" Lynxpaw felt bad for the she-cat, she seemed, lonely. She didn't have a clan to hunt for her or protect her. No one to play with or to talk to. Just her, in the forest by herself.
She didn't seem too friendly though. Rather unphased by it all. But, if she wasn't lonely then why was she talking to Lynxpaw? She obviously wanted something to do. “Why are you even here? Shouldn’t you be in your forest, hunting for your clan?” mewed the she-cat as she observed the ground. This was a rather odd gesture to Lynxpaw, usually you looked at someone when you talked to them. Especially when you wanted to be intimidating, at least that's what Emberflare did. He just stared at the young she-cat apprentice when she did something wrong. " I have been out hunting for my clan. I hunt all the time. But the forest is pretty much bare now, I'm sure even you know that." she mewed back simply. It was true, every animal in the forest felt the overbearing presence of leaf-bare. "If you aren't a kittypet, then why are you here?" she asked her golden orbs glittering with a fiery curiosity.
