One Sentence Description: Long furred black tom with amber eyes
Appearance: His pelt a solid one color. And that color is a color WindClan cats shouldn't really be. It's the color that makes hunting in snow hard, and hunting at night easy. White, gray, black? It has to be black.
Black. As I've already said, this tom is a black tom. But bet you didn't know he had long hair. OK so maybe you did, but just ignore the picture for now. Sagewhisker has long hair, his tail having a way of sweeping the ground. It's long, and his fur thick. Black fur keeps the tom warm during the cold months by trapping in heat, and warm in the warmer months. The tom had to have black fur instead of white. If he had white fur, then the sun's rays would be reflected from the lightness in his pelt. But his mother had to give him her black fur, so now heat gets trapped in his pelt, and he just hates the warmer months. He gets hot easily, and doesn't like it. He'd rather be cold than hot. Amber. His eyes are a light amber, not striking and blinding as they could be. They don't jump out and say "here I am!" They just rest there and blend in with his darker pelt. Sort of. OK so not really. But I think you get my point.
Being a Norwegian Forest Cat, he has the long fur, but you already knew that. His neck fur, also black, is longer. Something that's true to the breed. His head is also in a triangle. Talking math once again, it's an equilateral triangle. That means that his head is the same size on every three sides. Tall, proud black ears complete the look to this tom.

Personality: Like most clan cats, Sagewhisker isn't selfish. He may be withdrawn slightly, and quiet, but he's not selfish. He's the opposite. Not hard core to the point where he'd jump in front of a monster and sacrifice his life for anther, but still, he's not selfish. He'd risk his life for his clan, but not for another member of Windclan. If there was one, it'd be the leader, medicine cat, and deputy. But that's because they're the high rankers in the clan, and it's part of his responsibility, in his eyes. He'd also risk his life for a kit, being small and having such a future ahead of them. His mate, especially if she's pregnant. He hopes to get a mate sometime, and the tom shows a fierce loyalty to the ones he'd love.
The tom shows a fierce loyal side to him. He doesn't go against the warrior code, isn't afraid to fight for Windclan, and would protect his clan. He can be slightly hot tempered. He doesn't take well to insults, and his anger could slip. But he's able to take hold of his emotions quickly. There are times however, when he can't, and anger and fury blind him of anything else. He's a strong one, but not quick. In battle his strategy is to use his brute force to conquer. But he knows there are others who are stronger than him, and they're the ones to keep an eye out.
Kind and friendly. He wouldn't attack another clan mate unless he's blinded by his fury. The tom can be strict, especially on kits and apprentices. He does this out of care however. It is known if he ignores you when you do something wrong, that means he doesn't care, and that's not something most want. He's not harsh on apprentices, but he doesn't take it easy on them as well. As mentioned in the appearance, he hates the heat. Because he has a black pelt, as described, the heat gets trapped within, and he can't keep cool. That's why he likes colder moons, as his long, thick fur and the blackness of it traps in heat, and he stays warm.
Likes: cold weather, hunting, defending his clan, kits, apprentices, tales of the elders
Dislikes: warm weather, loosing his temper, apprentices not listening

History: Born to Blackfur and Silentstep, the tom was all but destined for black fur. His dad was a black and white cat, his mother black. Blackfur however, had long, sweeping fur. He also had two brothers and a sister, Shadekit with her mother's long, sweeping fur. Shadekit, Ravenkit, and Badgerkit. Blackfur was a good mother, but when Shadekit caught whitecough, she fretted over Shadekit, leaving Ravenkit, Badgerkit, and Sagekit often alone. The three brothers wished nothing more than for Shadekit to recover, and recover quickly. They hated having to fend for themselves, but luckily for themselves, they could eat fresh kill, but it was hard. They had just started, and it took a while for them to be able to bite into them. Life for Shadekit wasn't going well. Soon, her whitecough turned to Greencough, and Blackfur all but kicked her three sons out of the same nest, forcing the trio to return to the nursery. Blackfur soon caught Greencough, and she died. Not long after, Shadekit died.
The three brothers were alone now, with only a father. Silentstep soon became protective of the three, but he seemed to favor Ravenkit and Badgerkit over Sagekit. Then one day, Sagekit woke up to find Ravenkit and Badgerkit gone. Silentstep was gone as well. He was told his father took the two kits with him so he could teach them himself. Sagekit, being loyal to his clan even at such a young age, stayed and knew he'd never find his family. He was made an apprentice the next day. Sagepaw was trained in the ways of the warrior. Nothing happened during his apprenticeship that was of importance, worthy of being mentioned here, but I'll see what I can do. Sagepaw patrolled the borders, caught fresh kill for the elders and nursing queens before himself, and fetched fresh bedding, as all apprentices were supposed to do. It was then that he became the tom he was, and followed the warrior code, never twisting and bending the rules to serve him the way he needed. He soon was made a warrior.
IC Example: Taken from Silver Warriors, character is Frostshadow
The she cat followed Raylight out of camp, her black and white pelt shining as the moon hit the whiteness of her pelt shining brightly against the night sky. Frostshadow bounded ahead, her paws thrumming against the ground in a rhythmic motion, catching up to the tom. The she cat saw the borders ahead, and looked at the tom. "Lets hunt. Can't fight off intruders on an empty stomach." She stayed back to hear his reply, then bounded off, her paws silent. Her nose lifted to the air, and she drew in breath, taking in the scents. She then dropped her nose, finding and pinpointing a frog. She dropped low, then approached the creature, her paws making no sound as she carried herself over the landscape, closing the distance between predator and prey.
Her green gaze stayed focus, ready to lash out a clawed paw to kill the creature. She got close enough, then her paw shot out, a speeding bullet over the land. Using her claws that came out, she killed the frog quickly. She wasn't one to torture, and she killed the frog, sent her thanks to Starclan, and grabbed the frog. Her fresh kill in her mouth, she headed back to the border, waiting for Raylight to come. The frog fell from her mouth, its limp body resting at her feet. She sat down, waiting. Her gaze traveled across the border, seeking out shapes. If she saw any, there could be trouble. Her gaze swept to her deputy, and she watched for a second, before watching the borders again, her gaze once again sweeping the landscape.
