One Sentence Description: Longhaired dark brown tabby tom, pale yellow eyes
Appearance: In short, Darktail embodies the "dark, rugged and handsome" look. His pelt is thick, long and a little rugged, and although in the mortal realm it had its fair share of scars and patches, the immortal life of StarClan has restored it to its well-groomed, luxurious state. Its hue is a relatively solid dark brown color, a rich dark chocolate lined with long black streaks. The chocolate hue is relatively solid up until his tail, which is exceedingly fluffier than the rest of his fur, and is so dark of a brown that it is almost black. A single smudge of white rests on his chest fur, a strange contrast to the rest of his dark brown form.
In his life, Darktail's elegant brown ears had quite a few nicks and tears in them from years of brawls with other Clans, although now their old shape has been restored.
Darktail is very powerfully built, with strong muscles, sharp claws and teeth, and an intimidating face to match. His pale yellow eyes always seemed to have a vaguely sarcastic or annoyed look to them, although Darktail certainly wasn't a bad cat. Some would joke that he was blessed with "the face of a rogue," although it embarrassed him a bit.

Personality: Darktail's personality changed significantly throughout his lifetime. As a kitten, he was much smaller than his brothers, leading to a crippling sense of boundless determination and a hunger for power to right his feelings of inferiority and self-doubt. Some would say that he mirrored the ancient cat Tigerstar's personality in his actions; he was ambitious, powerful and desperate to prove himself.
However, as time went on and Darktail grew and gained recognition, he grew into an upstanding warrior; he was still a bit ambitious, yes, and was a little gruff and rough around the edges, but he was very noble, brave, and had a strong sense of justice. Strong love for his mate, Wrencall, gave him a strong sense of compassion and affinity for cats weaker than himself.
Darktail had a habit of not understanding a joke--it wasn't that he couldn't take one, he just never understood it when someone made fun of him. Of course, this made him a rather easy target for his older brothers...
Even though he hunts with StarClan, Darktail is still as protective of his children as he was during his time on Earth. Whenever something unfair happens to them, he suggests some catastrophe plague the offender, although his ideas always seem to be rejected. Darktail was always a bit of the burly protector, trying to make sure that everyone was safe and accounted for, and that feeling did not die along with him.
The tom was always careful when it came to his Clanmates, making sure no one ran into anything exceedingly stupid, but his strong sense of justice would run him into trouble sometimes. Darktail was always a very stubborn cat, and held strong to his beliefs and morals, and could be construed as close-minded or muleheaded when it came to debates or arguments.
Likes: Loud thunderstorms, a good fight, watching his children from StarClan, the smell of fresh snow
Dislikes: Weakness (especially his own), watching his family get hurt, cats wallowing in self-pity without taking action

History: In his life, Darktail was the stereotypical kitten trying to prove himself to the world. As a kitten and apprentice, he always tried his best, eager to grow up and become a great warrior. This was accentuated by the fact that he was very small as a kitten, the smallest of his litter, and his two older brothers Flameheart and Woodenfang.
Darktail knew his mate Wrencall from a very young age, and ever since he met her, he was smitten with her loving nature and quiet elegance. She was also part of the reason he tried so hard during his apprenticeship--perhaps, she would be impressed by his fantastic hunting and fighting...? Although, he did happen to fail many times in her presence...
Although Darktail was small as a kitten, he grew up quickly--very quickly. Halfway through his apprenticeship, he was bigger than his older brother Flameheart, although Flameheart was twice the size of him when they were kittens. Although Darktail never grew to be quite as big as Woodenfang, he was quite large, which helped further his career as a warrior. He killed his first badger two days after his warrior ceremony, and saved a small litter of the Clan's kits from an attack on a fox. Darktail gained much respect from his actions, and although he had been fluffed-up and violently determined as an apprentice, he had grown into a handsome, noble warrior.
Darktail soon won more recognition among his Clan through his brilliant tactics in a fight against a rival Clan, driving out a raiding party of ten with only three cats using careful planning. Finally, Darktail got the recognition he desired, and he became far less power-hungry, and was satisfied with his accomplishment.
Seasons passed, and Darktail finally managed to win Wrencall over. However, one thing lead to another, and the two did not end up bearing kittens until they were senior warriors. However, the three kittens were healthy, and Darktail loved them all deeply, and was proud of them. First was Grayclaw, his favorite; Darktail recognized his strength and determination, and hoped to make him into a great warrior when he got older. Second was Stripebird. Darktail did not love him as much as his first son, for he was not as powerful, but Darktail still loved him deeply and was proud to call him his son. Third was Dustwhisker, his precious daughter, whom Darktail was infinitely proud and protective of, although he was slightly disappointed that she did not decide to pursue a career as a warrior.
Darktail retired into an elder's life early into his children's life due to his age, although he still participated actively in his Clan life. The death of Dustwhisker, however, shattered him beyond words, and left him in a depressed stupor for days. Although his two precious sons were still alive, Darktail was crushed. Fortunately, he was able to bear the pain for his days. The rest of his days were long, tranquil and enjoyable, and he passed away of natural causes at about ten years old.
