hmm, maybe both? just because site-wide plots are very fun, but it's also fun to see how the characters that already have little plots sprouting up everywhere react to the site wide plot. :)
2. one character per account or one account per member?i have always thought that the one character per account was better, just because it keeps things very nice and organized. it's also easier to keep track of plots or threads if you know that they are all on separate accounts.
3. light skin or dark skin?i would say something closer to a darker skin, nothing too dark though. i just find that light skins seemed to be very harsh on the eye and it wouldn't be very enjoyable posting on that board with very bright whites right in the face.
4. side tables or dynamic tabbed table?side tables. i'm not sure why i like them better, maybe because everything is right there on your side or something? i don't know...i just like side tables i guess. XD
5. graphics based skins or css styled ones?uhh...i don't usually pay attention. perhaps graphic based skins?
6. typed out boards or images?typed out boards, in my opinion, typed out boards seem to give the impression of more thought and creativity put into the site. it also will give a new member more details to throw into their posts if they have a discription of the area they are posting in.
7. original clans or made up ones?i would have to say, original clans. i usually tend to avoid sites with clan names like, 'oceanclan' or 'treeclan.' i don't know why, maybe because i'm too attatched to the series. i would just rather prefer sites with original clan names.
8. (if original clans was picked above) forest or lakeside?oh god...uhm...that's actually a really hard choice. i never have really joined a site with the lakeside before...i guess if you chose the forest, the characters would know most of the history that went on in the forest, while if you chose lakeside then their characters might have the oprotuinity to explore or find more territory. also, you could bring in the tribe now and then if you wish, since they are closer.
9. short app or long app?maybe something in between. make an app that gives enough detail about their character so it's easier to plot, and don't require five paragraphs for every section, and for history just ask for important details?
10. would you like to be able to create a pregnant queen?sure, why not?
11. do you guys likeee money systems?yes, i find them very fun. i think they also encourage members to post more, just so they can see how much money they now have. XD
12. word counts: yes or no? and what is your maximum wc?maybe a very small word count, just to stop one liners or just one paragraph posts? i don't know, i've seen rude guests post in c-boxes that they hate word counts. i don't think i care too much, except when my muse is running low. maybe if the word count is too high members will post low quality work just so they can meet the word count. i think my maximum word count during posts is usually around 400-500, or on good days 600-700+ words. on sites i have created i have made the word count 100-200 words.
13. would you guys like a set # of training threads that MUST be completed before an apprentice can become a warrior?actually, i think that is a brilliant idea! i never have seen that before and i think that it would enable your character to have more experience when posting, and it may make the site feel more like the books? i actually think that since this is something that will help the site, just because it offers something different that probably most of the millions of warriors rp sites won't have.
