Duskfur of WindClan
________________________________________________________________
Name: Duskfur
Age: 33 moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: windclan
Rank: warrior
________________________________________________________________
Reason For Name: She was named 'Dusk' for her tortoiseshell fur, and well fur was given to her for obvious reasons.
Previous Names: Dusk-kit, Duskpaw
________________________________________________________________
One Sentence Description: Tortoiseshell she-cat with light green eyes.
Appearance: If you ignore her fur, she looks like a relatively normal cat. She doesn't really have any distinguishing features. There aren't any scars, and she isn't that muscular. Duskfur has a lean build, which is probably common for a Windclanner. Her legs are fairly long, but not enough to make a difference height-wise. They are useful for taking longer strides, which helps when chasing those pesky rabbits. Her is mostly black with orange specks here and there. In parts where the orange patches are big enough, you can see slightly darker orange tabby stripes. She isn't fond of her fur color, and wishes that she could have a more common patterning or normal one. Her eyes are a light, pale green that stands out against her black fur.
________________________________________________________________
Personality: A somewhat proud she-cat, she takes pride in everything she does. Even if it is something as tiny as catching an extremely scrawny rabbit. She believes if you are doing something right, why not be proud of it or your actions? She is also prone to praising other cats, no matter what the age because of this. Though she is a proud cat, Duskfur is not one to over brag about her actions...well maybe a little.
A bit cynical and snarky at times, she really isn't that bad of a cat once you get to know her a little more. Of course, she still acts like that around her friends but still. When you say something stupid, she'll be ready to reply back with sarcastic/witty response. This can get a bit annoying at times if she overdoes it, or if you find sarcasm annoying. She really doesn't think before she speaks which could cause a problem. Duskfur can say things a bit harsh and mean, even to the leader of her clan. Afterward, she might not apologize for her actions, since 'sorry's don't come easily to her. Duskfur does feel might feel bad for saying things, but won't ever admit it or apologize for it since it would mean that she was wrong.
Duskfur is a cat who prefers doing things her way. She believes that her way is the right way, and every other way is either wrong or not as 'efficient' or to her likings. Heck, this kitty might even be stupid and stubborn on doing things her way, she'll be willing to jump into a river if she feels it is right. On a similar note, she also likes going at her own pace, and absolutely hates it if you tell her to hurry up or something different. Duskfur also hates it when you order her around. It just shows her that you are bossy and too dang lazy to do it yourself. When it comes to doing something, Duskfur isn't afraid of getting her paws dirty to do a job. It's just a bit of mud, it isn't like it's gonna kill her. 'Oh wow, a mud puddle how scary!'
This she-cat is loyal to her clan and is willing to give her life up if necessary. What cat would? WindClan is a great clan after all, with gentle rolling hills, a vast moorland, Even though she is loyal to WindClan, sometimes she can't help but wonder what it would be like to be in another clan. Duskfur doesn't want to leave WindClan, but she thinks it is interesting how RiverClanners are able to swim so well, and other things like that. This doesn't mean that she is willing to start hunting like a ThunderClanner or learning how to swim and etc. Though the way other clan does things is intriguing to her, she still prefers doing something the way she likes.

History: Her parents were two normal WindClan warriors who had fallen in love with each other and had kittens. Frostedleg and Sharpfang had their first litter one green-leaf day of 5 kittens. However, one of them was a stillborn. The 4 remaining kittens were relatively healthy, except one of them was the runt of the litter. Frostedleg decided to name them Stormkit, Dusk-kit, Dark-kit, and the runt of the litter Mousekit. They grew up like normal kittens and did things kits would do. The siblings played with each other, get scolded by their doting mother, and were curious about the world outside of their camp.
Soon the liter experienced their first leaf-bare. Food was running low and more and more cats were getting sick with greencough, including little Mousekit. Since it was winter, the medicine cats had very little herbs they could use to combat the mild outbreak and used what they could to help poor little Mousekit and the rest of the sick cats. The sheer coldness of winter, accompanied by being ailed with greencough was just too much to handle for the tiny kitten. Dusk-kit had woken up too early one morning and had noticed something strange about Mousekit. She seemed stiff and was cold to the touch. Worried, she woke up her mother who began sobbing and mourning over her dead kitten once she saw her. The crying had woken up the other kits and they saw their mother crying over a stiff Mousekit and began to understood what had happened. The dead kitten had a proper burial and was mourned.
Seeing your own sibling dead was a hard thing for the kittens to endure, especially at such a young age. It was especially hard for Stormkit, who had grown extremely quiet after Mousekit's passing. By the time they were around 6 moons, they remaining siblings had to become apprentices. Dropping their kit suffixes and exchanging it for paw, they were then assigned mentors. Duskpaw's mentor was a strict yet slightly cowardly tom named Rabbitwhisker who was also bossy. Under a strict mentor, She had to work and train hard to be the best apprentice and prove to her leader she deserved a warrior name and what not. Eventually she did prove herself to be a valuable warrior to the clan, along with her siblings. They had a warrior ceremony an each received their full warrior name and became a true warrior of WindClan.

Dappledsky padded through Sunburstclan's territory. She hoped to get a little fresh air, maybe catch some fish or two. The job of being a deputy was hard work, she had to organize patrols, and do anything the leader isn't able to do. Though, it was rewarding. She gets the respect of many of her clan mates, and she liked doing things for the better of her clan. Unlike the other clans, Sunburstclan was more deserving of certain privileges than all the other clans.
Dappledsky found the single river that had divided the territory in two. Her light moss green eyes gazed down in the the water. She could see the silhouette of different size fishes swimming to and fro against the soft current. Dappledsky laid down by the river's edge, with her paws and most of her body dangling over the bank. Her delicate paws were barely touching the water's surface as she waited. Then Dappledsky struck, her paws breaking the river's surface. She could feel the scaly skin of the fish swim past her paws. Dappledsky unsheathed her claws, letting it sink into the flesh of the fish, then quickly pulled it out. The silver fish flopped, and squirmed, trying to make its way back into the river. She then killed it with a quick bite to the neck. The deputy unhooked her claws from the prey and padded upstream. She was trying to look for more prey, since Dappledsky already scared the rest of the group off.
As Dappledsky went farther along, the trees became more dense, due to the fact that she was heading into the wooded areas of her clan's territory. The open space around her was starting to fill up with towering trees. She started to hear a cat's meow about some clan, but was too far away to hear. Concerned with the fact that an enemy cat might be on Sunburstclan's territory, her slow pace quickened into a walk, then a sprint. "Confounded long hair! Why couldn't I have been passed on my mother's short and delicate hair?" Dappledsky would know that voice anywhere. It was Eveningstar, her clan's leader.
She ran as fast as she could, swerving to the side every time a tree came closer. Dappledsky could see two feline shapes getting bigger. It was no trespasser, it was just Eveningstar with Littlestep. Then she reached the clearing in the woods. The young deputy skidded to a halt, and dropped her fish on the ground. The leopard spotted she-cat unsheathed her claws, ready for battle in case there was an intruder nearby. Waiting a moment to catch her breath, the she-cat panted, "Forgive me if I'm interrupting anything, Eveningstar." The dappled cat dipped her head apologetically, then continued. "I thought there might have been a trespasser. It seems like I was wrong." Dappledsky finished and was all caught up with her breath now.
