Sombercall of ShadowClan
________________________________________________________________
Name: Sombercall
Age: twenty-nine moons old.
Gender: brute
Clan: ShadowClan
Rank: Warrior
________________________________________________________________
Reason For Name: Somber is another word for gray. Call is to remind him of his father.
Previous Names: Somberpaw and Somberkit
________________________________________________________________
One Sentence Description: Gray brute with sparkling green eyes.
Appearance: Sombercall is a small gray cat. The majority of his pelt is gray with white on his underbelly and under his chin. Sombercall is a rather small cat, not being too small, but not all that big either. He is strong though, as many cats manage to forget when they look at him. He is leader because of his strength, even though many cats challenged him and his position. Sombercall has a few minor scars along his stomach and on his face that are hidden by his pelt. There aren't too many to begin with because he fights very well. His eyes are a sweet green color. His emotions are often portrayed in his eyes and even though he is a ShadowClan cat he almost always has a genuine smile on his face. His eyes sometimes have a sad look but that is only when he is alone or when he wants to help his clan and knows that he cant. Sombercall has long white whiskers that jut out from his muzzle and black spots along where the whiskers start in his fur.

Personality: Sombercall is a cat that is filled with love even though he has had a rough past. Sombercall fights when he has to and would much rather spend his time fighting cats from other clans if he had the choice. He also loves to hunt and can usually be found in the territory hunting with a different she-cat, looking for the perfect mate. When he has free time though he will go to the nursery and spend time with a few of the kits that he has befriended. He loves to play with kits and it is almost like he is a big kit himself. But he is strong, incredibly strong. Most of the cat's in ShadowClan think it is rather scary how he can spend time playing with kits and be completely gentle with them but can extremely wound any cat in battle when he has to. Sombercall hates cats that are completely evil and kill for no reason. His fighting is almost never aimed to kill unless they have threatened his clan. Then he would kill without thinking. But Sombercall also hates cats that are too good for their own good and believe that violence isn't the way to go when sometimes the only thing you can do is fight.

History:
Somberkit was born to ShadowClan twenty-nine moons ago on a night much like this one. It was dark and cold, something that was usually harsh on small families and often killed kits. But Ashenwing gave birth to four healthy kits. Nettlekit, Dapplekit, Sterlingkit, and Somberkit. Somberkit was the only male in the litter and so quickly became Cresentclaw's favorite kit. He was a strong father, very forceful with his words but he would have never even considered hurting any of his kits. Cresentclaw believed that kits should start training at an early age and should be trained extensively. He attempted to train his kits when they were three moons old on each other and was exiled by the leader, Starkstar. The kits were worked until near death and their mother had decided to turn her head on the training in attempts to protect her mate but was also exiled for not doing anything to prevent the wearing down of her kits, leaving them with no mother or father before they were even apprentices.
Somberkit and his siblings were made apprentices a moon late, giving them time to rest and regain some of the time they had lost when they were young. Somberpaw was mentored by Sandwhisker, a she-cat who was extremely understanding and very kind to him while he learned. Somberpaw learned that he knew many of the things he was taught before he actually was taught them, things that he had learned from his father. But most of the things he knew were fighting, not hunting. He found that hunting came just as easily though and that soon he surpassed his siblings in the race to become the best in the family. Somberpaw was made a warrior at thirteen moons and was named Sombercall. Sombercall had been the first in his family to be a warrior, his sisters having to wait for another moon.
IC Example: NOTE:: THIS IS TAKEN FROM MY SITE.
&&. Somberstar emerged from his den with a yawn parting his jaws. He was tired, having been up all night after a disturbing dream from StarClan. He sought council in someone, in his Medicine Cat, hoping that she could help him solve his problem, but she was out for the day collecting herbs. He had heard her leave, her apprentice bouncing along behind her chattering excitedly, and loudly, enough to wake the whole clan with the babbling that erupted from it's jaws. Somberstar chuckled, having always found amusement in young cats. They always had something to say and not very many cats took the time to listen to what they had to say. That was the thing that set Somberstar apart from many other cats in his clan. He would listen to the little things, listens to the little kits and apprentices that usually didn't get the time of day from anyone except their mentor and their mothers.
&&. Somberstar was a gray cat with a white underbelly and dark gray hind paws. He was different colored, a rather magnificent creature really. His eyes contradicted with his pelt, they were a sweet pea green which turned to a pale green when the light hit. But he had the face of an apprentice, a kind one that almost always bore a smile. He loved to smile at his fellow clan-mates and respected them, even the ones that choose to challenge him as leader because he had yet to choose a loyal deputy. With a sigh Somberstar sat down outside his den and stretched his legs, his claws raking terraces through the swampy mud in the camp. He lifted his paw and licked it a few times before it was clean and then drew it over his ear before bending his head and licking at his chest. He was one of the few cats in ShadowClan who wasn't in a terrible mood all of the time. He wasn't even the typical ShadowClan leader. He wasn't power hungry, not even close. He was kind, rather sweet, and loved kits. He was his own kind of cat, fitting no clan's criteria for personality.
&&. He sat alone for what felt like hours, his eyes focused on the ground. He was thinking of something... of his dream. It had started with him wandering through the forest alone, calling out to his fellow clan. But they were gone. He was encounted by one cat, a cat whose name he did not know, which explained that his clan was gone, that said "They are not coming back. None of the clans are coming back. They have left you, left you alone." But the words meant nothing to him and he raced off through the territories, only finding stale scents of his clan and the other clans. But what shook him the most was the dead body of a kit where the blood flowed down the earth into a pond which was linked by more streams and more dead kits. As he worked his way through each stream the cats grew bigger until they were the size of warriors. But the one that shook him the most was when he found his own dead body. It was his dead body. Then he had waken up and the fear in his eyes was real again. He returned to his surroundings, Somberstar drawing in a shaky breath as he looked around painfully. "StarClan, protect us." he whispered.
