so apparently, the version of HP i had, the hp pavilion dv6700 is a bad version and they should have recalled it. i had a faulty graphics card and i was lucky it even lasted the four years that it did. there was a lot of talk that most people's only lasted two. my warranty was only a one year and it's been up for three... so... i'll be spotty until i can figure out if i'm getting a new one or if we're repairing the graphics card on the one i have. ): |
