Inkpaw keen eyes flicked to her right leg. He used this weakness at once. He sprang on her right side so to unbalnace her by putting his wieght on it. His fur puffed out in thrill of the fight. he was also aware that his mentor was watching him from the Med. Cat den and he wanted to impress her.

She stumbled and fell on her side.Ears back hissing slightly, she jumped back on her feet and aimed a blow at his chest,hoping to knock him over.

Inkpaw sprung back as she aimed a blow at him, but he tripped over his tail and fell on his side with a grunt. He scrambled to get up, but he knew she would pin him before he could move. So he decided to lay still and try the old trick that had been past down since the time of Firestar.

Duskpaw watched as Inkpaw stumbled over his tail.As he fell on his side, she sprung to pin him down, thinking luck might be on her side.

Right as she sprang at him to pin him, Inkpaw flung himself up. He knocked her out of the air and the both came back to earth in heap.

She hit the ground with a loud thud and spun around slightly.Shaking her head, she tried to get up slowly.Duskpaw groaned as she stood and aimed another blow at him.Theres no way I'm going to win,she thought to herself as her front leg gave out and she landed flat on her face."This is not my day" she mumbled into the dirt.

Inkpaw got up from his ungracful landing and shook, his bones ackedfrom fallingso many times. He croached and sprang onto his victim, the fire of battle was in is mind, so he wasn't hinking strait that she might be hurt. He aimed to land right on her and pinned her down.

Duskpaw yowled in pain.Growling, she mustered all of her strength to push him off and went to ram into his side.Her eyes gleamed and she pushed all of her weight into her front paws as she went to push him over.

Nightcloud trotted by the two apprentices playing and remembered the days when she did the same. She sat a watched for a moment and then decided to go see what her friends were up to. Well, maybe that wasn't such a good idea...

Inkpaw tumbled off as Duskpaw kicked him. He turned to his mentor sulkily, "Fine," he muttered bitterly. He sat and turned back to Duskpaw, "Are you alright?" he asked slightly concerned, His eyes traveling over her body and legs, looking for injury.

Nightcloud picked herself up and said "You are very good little fighters..You will make wonderful warriors." Then, she ran to Marsh looking for action of her own.
