Inkpaw was streched out outside the apprentice den. He was very bored, since Purplestripe had broken her tail and her paw so she couldn't train. He hadn't had much to do for the lst half a moon. He yawned andstrached at the dirt with his long black claws. His green eyes glisened with boredom.

Duskpaw walked around the camp,sighing.im so bored,she thought grumpily. Spotting Inkpaw, she padded up and sat down by him. "Mind if I join you in boredom?"Without waiting for an answer, she laid down on her side across from him and yawned.Swishing her tail around she muttered,"I can't stand just sitting here,I need to do something."

Inkpaw grunted in agreement as Duskpaw talked about boredowm. "Well, at least you have a mentor that doesn't have two broken bones," he meowed crossly. It was a just little bit annoying to hear a cat, who could go train if he wanted to, complain about being bored.
(Don't mind Inkpaw, hes just grumpy!)

Duskpaw picked her head up slightly and looked at him with a cool gaze. "At least you have a mentor, I don't." she retorted,swishing her tail in annoyance.Placing her head back down,she yawned."So,how long till you can train with your mentor again?" ((Yeah I figured as much  )) |

Inkpaw shrugged, "i don't know, probaly never. She has just recovered from having one of her other paws run over by a monster and know she's hurt again." He was loyal to Purplestripes, but he wished she could put off hurting herself until after he was a warrior. "You should talk to Icestorm about getting a mentor when she comes back,' he added sulkily.

Duskpaw sighed."Yeah,I guess I need a mentor.I just don't know.Sometimes I wonder if I'll be a good warrior."She sat up,stretching."So if you can't train with your mentor you're going to have to be trained by someone else?What a drag."Her ears twitched slightly.Duskpaw thought for a moment."Well it does no good to mope around,maybe we should try to be more positive...no,too much work."She curled her tail around her feet and growled slightly."One good thing about having a mentor will be training-no sitting around all day."

Inkpaw nodded, "I heard theres going to be a warriors ceremony soon. I wished I would be getting upgraded, but I've only trained twice. Pretty sad, huh?" he was very grumpy about not getting his warriors name soon.

"I wouldn't say its sad,just unlucky.At least you wouldn't be getting upgraded before you deserved it. This way you feel like you earned it.Don't worry about it.I know you'll be a great warrior."Duskpaw mewed softly.She felt weird,talking without arguing.It was new to her.She stretched again and gave her paw a swift lick."I'm probably boring you,sorry if I am."

"No, not really, I'm a good enough warrior already, though," he meowed challengingly. His tail was twiching in annoyence at the suggestion that wasn't good enough to be a warrior. 'I could beat her in a fight any day!' he hissed to himself.

Inkpaw gave her a skepical glance, " Your on," he meowed cooly. He got to his paws and streched his powerful legs out infront of him. He thought he could most likely win this fight. What a disgrace if he didn't after going on about how he should be a warrior. 'I'll win of course I'll win' he thought savagely.

"Wasn't planing to," Inkpaw ewed in reply. He began to stalk around Duskapw lookeding for the prefect opening to attack. He ears were back and his body was low to the ground and his head was bobbing slightly looking for the right spot.

Purplestripe sat some distance away watching. She had said she was sorry to Nightcloud and now waited for the medicine cat to come back to camp. He is good with this. I may just have to ask Icestorm or I mean icestar if she is on her way back to upgrade him to a warrior instead of having to wait for me to get healed. she thought as she watched.

Duskpaw crouched low to the ground and narrowed her eyes.She went to circle him,but her right leg gave out slightly.She winced in pain and put all of her weight on her left leg,hoping he didn't notice her falter.
