Frostpaw padded into the marsh, as she breathed in the cool, fresh air. It felt good to get away from clan life again, evey now and then. It gave her the time to think about the great choice she made, instead of being all alone, and having no one to go home to. The thought made her shudder, as she quickly shook the thought away. 'I'm not a loner anymore. I'm a Shadowclan apprentice. And I'm going to be a warrior someday. I'm never going to think of the life of a loner ever again.' though, the thought cheered her up a bit, she couldn't help but notice that she was a lone, right at that moment. 'I should have asked someone to come with me. Then i wouldn't have enev thought about my loner life.' Sighing quietly, she continued on with her walk.
((anyone can join her...i just thought i should get her out of her den^ ^ lol))

((I volunteer, lol)
Birchpaw snuck into the woods, his tail twitching playfully. He slunk into a bush, and he watched Frostpaw with interest as she was thinking. He purred silently for a second, and then he snuck quickly to another bush, closer to Frostpaw. He leapt out, hoping to take her down by surprise. "Gotcha!" he hollered.

((yay, Birchy! lol))
Frostpaw screached as she fell to the ground. She quickly stood up and spun around, wanting to scratch whatever had just jumped on her. To her relife, it was only Birchpaw. Tthe fur on her shoulders and all down her spine lay flat again as she smiled at her friend. "Oh, It's just you Birchpaw. Thank Starclan." she laughed as she sat down. "I'm so glad to see you. How have you been? Have you trained with Icestorm yet?" she purred with delight as she widened her eyes with curiousity.

Birchpaw looked sad briefly. "No... I heard she was injured, not really sure though." He looked down for a little bit, then looked up brightly. "So I got bored, and I tracked you down for a bit, then I attacked ya!" He shuffled his paws eagerly. "You should have seen the look on your face... it was priceless!" He grinned crazily.

"Hey, " she laughed. "What if you were a fox, or a badger? I can't help but make 'priceless' faces when I'm worried!" she mewed as she looked away for a second, pretending to be hurt. But soon, she looked back laughing loudly with a wide smile on her face. "oh well, i guess I'll need to be more alert from now on." Then, she remembered what Birchpaw said about the deputy. "do you want to go and check on her? Icestorm, i mean." she asked, the excitment suddenly draining from her face.

Birchpaw's face went serious as well. "Not really," he said slowly. "I want to know if she's OK and all, but say it's bad. I don't want to see our deputy and my mentor looking like a mess in the den... it's just I'd like to wait until she's all right. I don't want to be traumatized, if you know what I mean."
((i feel weird. im talking to frostpaw and talking about icestorm, who is the same person. its funny.))

Ebonyheart, who'd heard the commotion, padded over to Birchpaw and Frostpaw. "Hello," she mewed in greeting, in addition to flicking her tail, which still held the mouse. "Rainpaw's coming in a second. Oh, and Birchpaw, I heard about Icestorm, and I'm sorry." Ebonyheart glanced around the clearing, wary as to any danger or prey lurking around. All she saw though, was a peaceful marsh, undisturbed by the troubles of its clan.

"Oh. Um... it's OK." Birchkit was caught by surprise by Ebonyheart, and he meowed hesitantly, "It's that bad, huh?" he asked. "Oh well, I'm sure she'll be OK," he meowed cheerfully to Frostpaw. He sat down and gave his chest a few swift licks.

Rainpaw padded up to her fellow apprentice's and offered them a smile, pushing away her shyness as best she could, "H-hi," she stammered, cursing herself silently, "I'm sure she's alright too, Birchpaw.."

"Yeah, she'll be up in know time!" Ebonyheart meowed. Smiling at Rainpaw for trying to help Birchpaw despite her own shyness, Ebonyheart sat close to Rainpaw's soft pelt, in an attempt to reassure her. Glancing to the other cats, Ebonyheart mewed, "And I think this calls for a change of subject."

Rainpaw cringed slightly, but enjoyed the feel of another cat beside her, it had been long since she'd shared tounges with any cat, much less became close to one of them. Finally opening up to her clanmates, was difficult for her, but she was ready to finally be active in the clan, especially when she was to be a warrior soon. Rainpaw looked to Ebonyeart and waited for one of the cats to change the subject.

Everheart stayed silent, hidden in the bushes. Her eyes were glistening in curioustity, and the feline laid her head onto her paws, tail flickering. This seemed strange to her, just slightly, it seemed to nice. "Hello all!" The she-cat mewed, rising up onto her paws and giving herself a good shake before padding over to the small group of cats. Everheart nodded to them in aknowlagement before sitting on a couple of pawsteps closer then she had been.

"Oh!" Ebonyheart meowed in surprise. A she-cat that Ebonyheart didn't recognize came closer, then sat down. "I'm afraid I don't recognize you. What is your name again? It's just slipped past me." Ebonyheart tried to use a friendly tone, but she had been slightly surprised and the fur had risen on her neck before Ebonyheart could realize that the she-cat was Shadowclan. Instead, her voice came out in a part friendly rasp, but with a distinct hiss to it. Shaking her head, she placed the mouse in her tail gently on the ground before waving her tail for the cat to come forward. "I'm Ebonyheart." Ebonyheart wrapped her long tail around her fresh-kill. Ebonyheart closed her emerald eyes in as a sudden breeze swept by, enjoying the feel of her fur being swept back. Opening them again, she wait for someone to respond.

Everheart's amused expression lasted for only a couple of heartbeats, and she flickered her tail toward the group, nodding. Yet the she-cat was slightly suprised at the fact that her clan mate didn't know who she was, Everheart was more irritated though...but she didn't show it. "I know that, and it is fairly rude that you do not know me." Aknowagling the beckon, the feline padded to sit next to Frostpaw, her eyes still on Ebonyheart. "Me being one of you're Clan mates." Her eyes darted around the area, before turning back to the other she-cat in front of her, "But since you don't know, I'm Everheart." Feline voice was musical, a single raindrop falling into a pond with all the others, yet crystal clear, smooth and soft.

Ebonyheart sat back in surprise. Her temper rose. " It is also rude, however, to tell someone that they are being rude when they are trying to be nice.I'm sorry, but seeing as to the fact that I've been so busy recently, and I'm not always in the camp, I just didn't immediately know you. I remember you now, I just needed you to tell me again." Ebonyheart stood. "I suddenly remembered that I need to take my mouse to the camp." She replied abruptly, with a slight sneer-like glance to the cat across from her. Her anger, pride, and stubborness prevented her from apologizing, though she immediatly regretted her words. Bounding back towards the camp, Ebonyheart scowled at the words of Everheart, and her tail thrashed with the mouse still wrapped in it.
