Birdpaw
Birdpaw padded up beside Rainpaw, her clanmate, and Everheart. The two cats seemed like sisters to a shy cat like her. "Wonderful day for battle, isn't it?" she meowed, looking unsurely at herself. It was her who never started a conversation, who never started fun.

Birdpaw frowned. "I didn't mean it that way..." she meowed. At least there was something she shared in common with Rainpaw. "I was just trying to start a conversation..."[/color] she murmured under her breath, now feeling frightened that the cats thought her funny. She hated when she stood out among other cats. And now I'm only increasing it... she thought wryly.

Birchpaw's face went serious as well. "Not really," he said slowly. "I want to know if she's OK and all, but say it's bad. I don't want to see our deputy and my mentor looking like a mess in the den... it's just I'd like to wait until she's all right. I don't want to be traumatized, if you know what I mean." ((i feel weird. im talking to frostpaw and talking about icestorm, who is the same person. its funny.)) ((grrrr, i dont like getting grounded....this thread already has another page...lol...oh, and Birchpaw....she's better and standing outside of the medicine cats den. We should just, ge back to camp and...accidently see her, or something....i guess)) Frostpaw tried to smile for her friend, but it wouldn't work the way she wanted it to. She had made him feel this way. But she didn't mean to. "Yeah, i understand what you mean. I'm sorry for bringing it up." suddenly another group of cats joined them in the marsh. Throughout the whole conversation, leading right up to Ebonyheart leaving, Frostpaw felt, out of the conversation. She looked over to Birchpaw, as the other cats talked among themselves. She stood up, walked over to him, and quietly mewed. "Do you just want to go back to camp, Birchpaw? It's getting kinda late and all, so...." she didn't even bother finishing her sentence, and she sat down, to wait for an answer. |

Everheart looked apologetic, but claws unsheathed in mild dissapointment as the cat left. She wasn't trying to get Ebonyheart to hate her, but it was rude enough for the feline not to remeber her name!! Yet her expression gave any nothing, as cool and calm as an actresses, not showing her emotions in that sort of way. Everheart turned around, ears pricked as she continued to listen to the conversation, slightly wondering where her brother might be at such a time. The feline didn't quite like going without him, for her own fighting skills weren't the best with him to make the other blows.

Rainpaw blinked as Frostpaw asked Birchpaw to leave.. it would mean that she would be alone with Everheart.. and to be honest, she seemed a little scary. Rainpaw looked to Birchpaw with shy eyes, shuffling her paws benieth her, embarassed at not having understood the joke, "Sorry," she mumbled in a low voice, feeling out of place within the small group of cats.

Birdpaw scooted towards Rainpaw, despite her fear of the apprentice. "Er..." she murmured, trying to think of how to start a conversation. Her shyness was really a problem when making new friends. "So um, I hear your name is Rainpaw?" she meowed quietly, still looking at her paws.

Birchpaw nodded. "Ok, Frostpaw," he meowed. "Let's go back, maybe Icestorm will be OK." With that, he rushed back to camp.

Rainpaw blinked toward Birdpaw and nodded, "But I'm going to be a warrior soon.. actually," she paused and looked out over the marsh towards camp,"I think it's today.." Rainpaw stood and looked down to her paws, shyness taking the best of her, "C-come check with me?" she asked, as she made her way to camp.
