Walking In The Darkness

Demonfang limped and stumbled through the marsh.Her head low,and her tail draging.Her white black paws burned into her pads,and every step made her wish she could die.A blood trail leading away from the Thunderpath.Her scars and injuries from the past events shown on her.As Demonfang pasted,she pasted by the tree she and Angelheart first met.

Memory...

"So,your Angelheart of Shadowclan,huh?Well i should kill off this one."Demonfang hissed,her paw raised at Tigerstripes fainted body.
"No,it my battle,rogue!Go away or die!!"Angelheart hissed,running at Demonfang.They crashed into each other,fighting.
"My Father wouldn't let me die!"Demonfang hissed,Pushing Angelheart off of her.
"My mother wouldn't either!"Angelheart spat,and they crashed again.
"AngelWing,Demonface,give me strength!"They both said.
Demonfang stoped,her red eye wide,same as Angelhearts.
"Demonfang and Angelwing?Your parents?"They said at the same time...

Demonfang looked at the tree,a tear droped,and hit the ground.Demonfang shook her head at the memories.
She continued on,and saw the tree stump where she trained Darkkit,Maplestripes kit.

Memory...
"Ok,Darkkit,listen well,for I will only show you once."Demonfang advised.
"Ok miss!"Darkkit said,excided.
"Jump at the tree stump,claw it as hard as you can."Demonfang meowed,"Like this."Demonfang said,and she jumped at the stump,and clawed it.
Darkkit noded,and jumped at it.His claws gripped into it,aas they tore off the bark.
"Ow...."Darkkit mewed,as he fell backwords.
"Like that?"He asked.
"You almost got it,keep practicing."Demonfang smiled at the young kit,and they both laughed.


Demonfang saw the claw marks both she and Darkkit made,and remambered the happy bond she formed with the young kit.
"Memories are blank,they kill you at the last moment...but bring back a smile."Demonfang mewed sadly,then walked on.
She stumbled out of the bush,and into a giant puddle that the marsh had every where.She saw two sets of paw prints...hers and Shadowfangs.

Memory...
"Hi Demonfang,I was hoping to meet you here."Shadowfang meowed happily,his tail waved in greetings.
"Same here"Demonfang mewed,a small purr comeing from her throut.She walked along the side of the puddle,and stood beside Shadowfang,there paws sinkingt into the mud,making ever lasting paw prints.
"This would be the memory to look back on,Demonfang."Shadowfang purred,and both their tails twayned together...


Demonfang felt her blue eyes swell up in tears.
"Sorry Shadowfang,you couldn't look back on the memories of us...I'm sorry,it brings me pain."Demonfang cryed out quietly,and moved on.She came across a den,her den,and a young fox crept out with two little foxes.It snarled at the torn up cat.
Demonfangs ears drooped,seeing the two kit foxes,she was protecting her litter.

Memory...
"Mommy!!Midnightkit won't stop pulling my ear!!"Dreamkit cryed,her sister pulling her ear with her teeth.
"Midnightkit,stop it,and bother your father."Demonfang meowed.
"Okay,he gives me more of a fight anyways."Midnightkit mewed,and ran towards Shadowfang.Dreamkit smiled and started to play witha moss ball.
"Have fun,I'm off to catch prey,now don't give Shadowfang too much trouble,ok?"Demonfang mewed,and Dreamkit noded as she bounded away.

Demonfang stared at the snarling fox,and the young kit foxes.
"Take care of them,don't let themout of your sight for a second."Demonfang whispered,and kept on walking.The snarling fox stared at her,then pushed her young ones back in the den.
Demonfang didn't go far before she fell on the ground,the blood trail had stoped,anything could take her as freshkill.Demonfang stared at the comeing clouds,and it started to rain,but the moon shown in the clouds,and the clouds formed a circle,letting the moon shine.Demonfang looked at it,and thought she saw Shadowfang,Tigerstripe,Maplestripe Darkkit and Angelheart together,looking down at her,she blinked,and they were gone.
"I must be tired..."Demonfang whispered quietly,and fell into a light sleep.

Angelheart waited, until Demonfang had drifted into sleep, to come before her, to speak, to be herself once again....Through the fight, today, the whole thing.....beneath Skylarks' pelt, Angelheart had been there, watching, through Skylarks eyes, through her sould, she'd been there, spoken to Demonfang, even rested before her blood spilled on the thunderpath and almost been killed once again. She stood there, her ghostly white pelt beginning to appear, her crystal blue eyes shining uncontrollably, her heart was beating, now more than ever, and her mind raced through all of Demonfangs' thoughts...

The fight between her and Demonfang, the way she'd saved Tigerstripe and Triplestripe... get out of here ROGUE! OR I'LL KILL YOU!! is what she's said when she was still living, still alive, her paws still truly touching the earth....the way any cats' would...That was where they'd met, and soon after they would realize who they were, sisters in the flesh, one by one learning the ways of their past, together, how they'd not know...the stars on their paws, their birth marks....

A light mist began to form, as she made her appearance, her heart beatting fast, you could see it glitting beautifly in her crystal clear blue eyes, "I'm here Demonfang.... she purred to her sister in the dream I'm always here, I'll never not be with you, for if you look back on life, there were always two trails....one for you, and one for me, and where ever there was only one, was when I carried you, my sister....I will always be with you, through Skylarks eyes, through Silverpelt, through the stars, I will find you and bring you home....Through your pain and Frustration, you are not alone, for I am here......I am ALWAYS here...." She took a step forward and licked her sisters head, smiling the sweet smile she'd always gived, the way she had when she had her kits, the way she had whenever she was happy to see demonfang...
"DEMONFANG!!" she'd always say, it was so common it was hard not to say it, the cheer in her voice....but now there was none, Demonfang couldn't hear it at least....and suddenly, Stormkit appeared next to her, then Leafkit....Angelhearts kits up in starclan, they looked at their Aunt... they smiled at her and licked her....There was more love here now then there ever could be.....

"Demonfang.... Mewed Angelheart as a tear strolled down her pure white cheek.....Join the Clan.....Join the clan which you belong, the clan of which, you've ALWAYS belonged, for I will always be with you, and so will Your sister Skylark....I will be with you through her eyes, and you will be with her.....and Icestorm, your kin.....You will all be together, and happy, like we all were....Do not kill yourself, for my love for you is pure, and as is Tawnyclaws, she loves you like a sister at heart.....she knew you when she was just a kit and I raised her.....there is no doubt she thinks of you as a mother...." and with that Angelheart began to fade....as did her kits....
I will be watching.... she mewed gently before all was quiet.....

Demonfang listen,only blankly,her eyes hald closed,her body shivering in the dark,of her mind.There was no way out now,only one path,but she hated it,she strayed away from it.She fallowed the light on that apth,but she did not dare go near it.She detested every thing that Twanyclaw had done,but why didn't she kill her?what held her back?Demonfang shivered slightly,then watched as her only light faded infront of her eyes.
She was tired,though every cat would detest her as they always did.Blazingstar,the shadowclan leader would never accept a old,beat up rogue as she was now.Demonfang stood there in the dark,a small speck of light fell down,and was infront of her,miles away,as it said 'come...come to me.
Demonfang shook her head,and closed her eyes,the only light came off of her,it always has.
"No."She whispered,her eyes closed.
"Never will I go close to you."

Angelheart stood there in almost complete silence, as she closed her eyes and shook her head lightly, she didn't know how she'd ever get through to her sister.... "Dear Demonfang" she mewed with a sigh I know your feelings for tawnyclaw, but its truly not right for any cat to hate another so badly, to detest them so. Will you really hate the cat that I mentored? The cat I trained to defend her own clan at the cost of her own life? She did that, did this, to me, for her CLAN!" Angelheart could feel the fur around her neck begin to bristle with bits of anger, her heart swelling in hate of the moment. Why couldn't Demonfang understand or accept the truth as it was? Was it just she wasn't willing to? Didn't WANT to?
"Tawnyclaw watched me as I took a valued life from that of her leader....Blazingstar, She watched in purified horror as i striped him of a life, slashed him apart, and still she tried to coax me back, to let me back in the clan but I like you didn't listen! I fought her, and hated her, detested her as you do now, and in the end, the only way I realized that I belonged in Shadowclan was my death! IS THAT WHAT YOU NEED TO REALIZE IT?! DO YOU NEED TO DIE?!!!" Angelheart haden't yelled at her sister like this since they fought for the last time....when they'd realized they were sisters....she felt the anxiety welling inside her, hate for all around her.....if only she'd stayed there, things would be better....

Demonfang closed her eyes agin,the light at the end of the darkness kept on calling to her.She bit her tounge,to force out the noise echoing in her head.She couldn't,wouldn't.She shook her head,and she fought through it like a helpless young kit.
"No!!I would rather die...than to live with my sisters murderer,it was her own will to kill you,and besides,Blazingstar has to die sooner or later."Demonfang meowed,pain and stress was noticable in her vioce.
"Quit pushing me!!I'm not with you!!I am lost,leave me alone!!Please!!"Demonfang yelled,her eyes still closed.She ran,in the oppisite direction of the light,and into deep darkness,every step was like death all over again.
In real life,Demonfang stoped breathing,her heart pumping quickly,as if it would stop there.
In her mind,she kept on running,away from Angelheart,away from her parents,away from Twanyclaw.She ran and dfell,stumbling along side the path she was ment to take,towards the light.
She laid there,her real body still alive,but hadn't started to breath.
"Leave me alone...let me die,I don't want to live anymore.Cut me,and break me,end my suffering,the good for all,so I won't join starclan,only into the darkness...alone..."Demonfang heared echoing of the word 'alone'.She was alone,always will be,even with an older sister,there was a wall between them,that nothing could get through,nothing,not even the monsters on the thunderpath.If she joined that clan,every cat would hate and detest her,even her own sister,four walls would be built around her,with no light,only dark,no sound,no...nothing.

Angelheart stood there with her eyes closed tightly. she shook her head and sighed with all the sadness her heart could muster. "You truly are lost my dear sister"she said with pain in every word, and as she stood there she opened her eyes, revealing the beauty, in them....the beautiful crystal blue eyes that seemed alive in some way...
Suddenly she began to dissapear, just like the mist around her, and the light that shone around her, the light was fading.....going out altogether....her heart was leaving from Demonfang, but still, no matter what she'd always be with her.....it was her duty....
Then, she was gone....

Demonfangs real body begand to breath,due to the rage in her mind.
"Angelheart!!I'm not like you,and you arn't like me!!!I don't belong no where,Don't push me into something i do not wish to do,you have no controll over me,not now,not ever!!!Nither will Twanyclaw!Nither will Skylark!!No one can controll me!"Demonfang yowled in the dark,there was only an echoing,and she lashed her tail,her deadly heart was now alive,taking over the good.
"If I am meant for Shadowclan,then PROVE IT!!!"Demonfang yowled,then she disappeared,and was back.
Demonfang opened her blue eyes,and got up.
"Its time to pay a visit to my kits."Demonfang hissed,and then stalked away.
